A W O K E N I spotted this sentence in an article when I was sat in a hotel lobby in Chester. It was the last Saturday in February 2020. Something rang heavily truthful of it - yet little did I know just how much this quote would help me. Throughout the pandemic lockdown I frequently recited this sentence in my head. And when I took HMJ full-time in August 2020, this would be my daily mantra. I’d recite this quote out loud, reminding myself to take full control of my year. 4 years ago today my ex crippled me. He knocked me unconscious hitting me in the spine with a METAL bottomed chair-leaving a Marble sized mark where impact occurred-my T7-10 right sided spine. 4 years-it’s been hell. That’s why I have been CONTINUOUSLY posting on SOCIAL media. If I didn’t need help. I would NEVER ask. Just like before. No matter how many times I was raped, abused, harmed, scapegoated or silenced-I NEVER spoke of it. I’m speaking up because I need help. My mri was covered up March 5, 2021 (evidently son’s day in Maine) This was a thoracic mri-because the doctor gave me a lumbar mri June 12, 2020 instead of a thoracic-stating that there was no way a thoracic spine hit caused right side body numbness. The doctor got his hair cut from my ex every three weeks. I know my ex is persuasive and they spoke of my medical care. I was diagnosed with Thorocolumbar Radioculopathy August of 2020 Right side body numbness due to a spine hit. March 5, 2022 my ex got away with everything (evidently son’s day in Maine) He did this to me on Mother’s Day. First I went to #Omnia. Next we got splited into #Groups. After that we went to catch the MetroTrain from #Chatswood to #MacquarieUniversity. Started this yesterday. I love the movie, so I have been wanting to "read" this for a while. It's a short listen (almost done with it now). For the most part, everything they talk about, I learned the hard way ( I had to go through it myself). However, if I had heard about this years ago, my dating life would have been a lot different. About 95% of the stuff they say I agree with.
