✨Feature Friday✨ Today we are featuring Lagree Trainer @joyee_and_lagree who teaches at @bodypolitikstudio in Scottsdale, AZ! Not only does she love teaching Lagree, but it contributed to her recent mind & body transformation. The pictures exude the happiness that Joyee brings into the classes she teaches. Lagree helped me really transform my body AND my mind, I was in the middle of a physical and mental transformation amidst a huge life change. There was a break up, a job change, a move, you name it, it was happening to me. At that point I knew those could be excuses or I could turn it into fuel. I started working out and was taking a lot of HIIT classes which I still love but found that I needed something that went a little deeper and hit my core a little bit more. Lagree did just that! I also found that Lagree required so much attention & focus that it forced me to shut up whatever was going on inside my head that I was able to tune out everything around me. ✨What do you love most about Lagree? I love that when I take class it’s like the whole world goes quiet, I HAVE to focus on the moves and transitions so I’m not thinking about my grocery list or anything else. ✨Favorite thing about teaching Lagree? I find so much satisfaction in seeing my clients get stronger every time they show up to class both physically & mentally and knowing you contributed to it! ✨What inspired your transformation? As tacky as this sounds, it was a boy! My boyfriend at the time (now an ex thank goodness!) compared my body to someone else’s & it took me to a really dark place, I knew I needed to change my mindset about how I felt about my body… but at that point I was out for a revenge body. Once I saw results on the megaformer, there was no turning back. ✨Fun Fact? I recently got certified to teach @versaclimber classes & completed my level 2 advanced lagree certification! While managing long-term lower back issues, I was directed to stop crossfit, HIIT training, and anything power related. Lagree never fails to keep me constantly challenged — I love practicing on form/6-8 counts/quick transitions, and pushing me past my comfort zone everyday. Then there’s the community full of amazing, strong, and kind people that I love sharing my energy with. “If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together”. ♥️ Favorite move? It’s too hard to only choose just one. I love Express Lunge, Super Lunge, Deadlifts, Flying Wheelbarrow, and Preacher’s Curl. ✨When you think of the word “mindfulness,” you might think meditation, yoga or some other form of spiritual practice. However, Lagree is revolutionizing the fitness industry by becoming the number one form of movement when it comes to mindfulness. Lagree can help you set the tone for the rest of your day by training you to focus, breathe and be present in the moment. How does Lagree promote mindfulness? Almost every exercise in the Lagree repertoire involves the control of the carriage. That subconscious action of controlling the carriage stimulates the mind and demands it to be present or else, you could fall off the Mega! Lagree requires full attention from your body and mind. In addition, the exercises are performed slowly, with intention and purpose. 🎉I had the privilege of leading this mighty group of 13 over St. Patties Day weekend for an OFFICIAL @lagreefitness L1 certification. @corelpfitness hosted me at their friendly creative space in Berkley, MI and made me feel right at home channeling my Midwestern roots. Shout out to @heatherjayyy for connecting us🫶🏻. 🍀 We spent 2 days, 18 hours (plus 6+ hours pre-work on the Lagree Academy). ❤️ For starters, everyone was so nice, highly engaged & ready for hands on learning to understand all things Lagree created by @sebastien.lagree and what makes Lagree Different than any other Method!
