Foto 2 and 3 is dry fitting to show you how great the fitting of this kit is! Comes closely to Tamiya. I used 25 tapes and 6 clamps to glue the parts together. I worked from behind to the front and very exactly, so I needed about 3,5 hours. In my opinion that's the way to do it cause so I reduce putty and sanding work massive. I hate this works. The kit also comes with a display stand. I've build until yet 3 kits of Tamiyas "War bird collection", actually I'm working on my 4th, the P47D. This kits are for its small 1/72 scale amazing good, very good fitting and details and much fun to build. You can see how clear and brilliant it came. 1st 2 photos show the original state. Then you can see how clear the clearparts turned out after polishing. Today I masked the two canopy parts. 🤓🤓🤓 And I made a test: Which of Tamiyas masking tape is better to work for edges and round parts. In my praxis and opinion : it's the white plastic tape! Cause you can mask the complete part with 1 single stripe. And thats a advantage cause you need less time and the sealing is better cause you have only one overlapping point. The Mustang was designed in April 1940 by a design team headed by James Kindelberger of North American Aviation (NAA) in response to a requirement of the British Purchasing Commission. The Purchasing Commission approached North American Aviation to build Curtiss P-40 fighters under license for the Royal Air Force (RAF).
