First of all, for no other reason than I thought it’d be fun for everyone involved, I chose to wake up several hours too early of my own volition. #idowhatiwant Then, Mama brought me here & y’all made me chill in a little room for way too long. These people brought me LEGOs and crayons. Toys? You think kids want toys?! Um, are you crazy? Obviously, I only want to play with old trash, anything that looks expensive, & anything that could give me a new variation of Covid-27. Duh. #amateurs They let my mom give me some meds so I’d calm down, but it went a little too easy so I squirted the rest of the syringe all over her white shirt & jacket. Then, a few hours later my dad shows up JUST in time for some random man who acted like he’s never held a baby in his life to take me back to surgery? Oh NO. You know I kicked and screamed my way out of his arms the whole way back. That man wasn’t my daddy so I wasn’t having it. 🙅🏼 I caused such a ruckus I made the surgeon carry me back herself. 💁🏼♂️ #hairflip I did amazing in surgery. And then I decided that I’d cooperated enough. They only brought my Mama back to recovery. Because she sucks WAYYY worse than my dad, I gave her, them, & everyone around a hard time. I kept my eyes closed, but that didn’t stop me from ninja-warrioring every nurse up in that joint. You think I care other people are also trying to recover? Nah. Let them hear my roar. I even smacked Mama a couple times, mostly on accident. They had Mama get in my bed to hold me & alligator wrestle me for an hour or so. She said she didn’t even have to go the gym because of me, so I guess I did her a favor, really. It’s cool. I continued my charades all the way to my room. I decided I was well enough to insist on walking around & fell RIGHT on my face. Kinda like that one girl at the bar who swears she’s good but we all know better. Anyway, Dad got to come to my room finally so I decided I’d finally be nice(r) after I screamed a bit longer, just for good measure. I freaked out the nurse but that was mostly for fun. We’ll see how I feel after I trash the place. ✌️, Oliver

🗣BILAN DE LA CAP MARTINIQUE 2024 ⛵️ Dimanche 12 mai dernier s'est achevée la 2e édition de la @cap_martinique avec l'arrivée du 51e et dernier bateau de cette transat réservée aux amateurs. Le 14 avril, 60 embarcations ont quitté Trinité-sur-mer en direction de la Martinique. Les premiers skippers ont franchi la ligne d'arrivée au @portdeletangzabricots dans la nuit du 4 mai. Puis, les arrivées se sont succédées jusqu'au dimanche 12 mai. Este día se festeja el 14 de mayo en conmemoración a José “Pepe" Amalfitani, quién fue Presidente del Vélez y uno de los dirigentes más destacados de nuestro país, que falleció en 1969. El dirigente, que dedicó gran parte de su vida al club, tuvo dos ciclos en Liniers, de 1925 a 1933 y de 1940 a 1969. Siempre fue recordado por su honesto trabajo para el beneficio del fútbol argentino y en Vélez logró el ascenso a Primera División luego del descenso del año 40. Además, llegó a hipotecar su propia casa para obtener los fondos necesarios y revertir una de las tantas crisis económicas que vivió la institución. Fue tan importante que la Comisión Directiva de 1968 decidió denominar al estadio con su el nombre. En homenaje a su gran tarea en la dirigencia, AFA decretó que el 14 de mayo sea considerado el Día del Dirigente Deportivo. Frases célebres de Pepe Amalfitani: - "Cada socio nuevo equivale a un campeonato" - “Cada chico ganado a la calle es un título obtenido" - “El cemento es mudo pero elocuente” - “¡Si quieren campeonatos, háganse de Boca o de River!”, “los ladrillos son más importantes que las copas” - “Si nosotros decidiéramos salir campeones, podríamos hacerlo, pero jamás tendríamos el estadio que actualmente disfrutamos”. 2024 Boland Regional School Championship Boland hosted 16 schools at this year's Regional High School and Primary School Championship at Paarl Golf Club. Paul Roos Gymnasium returned to the winner's circle after their 2022 reign at the National Stage. The team comprises Andries van der Vyver, Nicolas van der Vyver, Tynan Vermeulen, and Gideon Fourie, with results of 68, 68, and 71 (-9). Runners-up were the defending champions, the Paarl Boy’s High School Team on level par. The team's results were 70, 71, and 75, with Ghery Rabie, Gerhard van der Merwe, Francois du Toit, and Bosman de Villiers in the team. In the Primary School Division, Paarl Boys’ Primary School had a seven-stroke victory. Henri Louw, Du Toit Eaton, Zuan Oberholster, and Rossouw Cloete scored 244. Runners-up were Laerskool Eikestad - Daniel van den Berg, Thomas Geldenhuys, Luke Mackie, and Nick Smit with 251. The individual winning titles were awarded as follows. High School Individual Champion: Oliver Scriven from Bridge House School with a phenomenal score of 67 (-5).
