Fino al 24 novembre è possibile visitare presso la sede di Venezia della Fondazione Prada la mostra “Monte di Pietà”, un progetto ideato dall’artista Christoph Büchel. Si tratta di un’installazione immersiva che consiste in un banco dei pegni in fallimento che ricalca l’originale Monte di Pietà di Venezia, situato fino al 1969 proprio nel palazzo Ca’ Corner della Regina, sede attuale della Fondazione Prada. Büchel ha costruito una complessa rete di riferimenti spaziali, economici e culturali, indagando il concetto di debito come radice della società umana e veicolo primario con cui è esercitato il potere politico e culturale. Tra le numerosissime opere esposte vi sono 6 scatolette di “Merda d’artista” di Piero Manzoni, un’occasione per vedere un numero consistente di queste opere iconiche in un contesto estremamente particolare. Until November 24th the “Monte di Pietà” exhibition is open at the Prada Foundation in Venice, a project conceived by the artist Christoph Büchel. It is an immersive environment that consists of a fictitious bankrupt pawnshop based on the original Monte di Pietà in Venice, located until 1969 in the Ca’ Corner della Regina palace, the current headquarters of the Prada Foundation. Büchel has built an articulated network of spatial, economic and cultural references, investigating the notion of debt as the root of human society and the primary vehicle by which political and cultural power is exercised. Among the numerous works on display there are 6 tins of “Artist’s Shit” by Piero Manzoni, an opportunity to see a large number of these iconic artworks in an extremely particular context. #Throwback 2021 vereinte die Ausstellung «Città irreale» grossformatige skulpturale Arbeiten aus den Beständen des Kunstmuseums St.Gallen.
