How do you recognize a good dojo? By the slippers💎
Sounds crazy, uh? Yet, my Sensei used to repeat it constantly: if the slippers are in perfect order then the dojo is good.
Beauty lies in little, apparently meaningless things. Lies in details🔥
If the slippers are in order, it means the students care, the Sensei cares, it's a place of care, of attention, of details.
You can show off like crazy but if you don't care for your belongins to be in order, then you are just sloppy. And that's what your practice will show: a sloppy Aikidoka🥋
These are my kids slippers. When I saw them the other day I wanted to take a pic, even tho is a whatever sucking pic but even the youngest, with just a bunch of lessons of experience, took care of his slippers.
I am so proud of them🥹
At the beginning I was like: will they listen to such odd orders like "take care of the slippers"? But they do. They do. And I am just helplessy happy🥰
