Most want to be accomplished. But not everyone wants to become accomplished.
Becoming accomplished is dirty. It’s hard. It’s getting it wrong, more than you get it right. You can do it though. It’s mistakes, apologies, tough lessons, cuts and bruises, and starting over again and again. You can still do it.
It took me multiple tries over several months to figure out how to make the cuts for these table legs with my router… I’ve spent years developing basic woodworking skills, but I still had to start over 3 times because I made mistakes. I lost a couple router bits, and some skin off two of my knuckles. A little blood and patience and I finally got it right.
Becoming accomplished is not an easy job. My secret: I learned to love the process of becoming accomplished more than the resulting accomplishment.
