African Vodoun - Papa Ade
This is usually a Vodoun who shows up when the family business deals with ushering souls. More so funeral/cemetery/psychic business. As an important Vodoun walking with me, I also recognize you can’t Google him. So I’ll give a bit of context.
Papa Ade is called the “Hunter”. He is the Vodoun that goes to Zogbe (land of the lost souls), retrieves our ancestors, feeds/nutures them, and brings them back to ancestral lands. He is often connected to cemeteries and funerary rites/rituals.
Not to be mistaken with Sakpata or Papa Elegba…who are Vodoun that work in collaboration with Ade. Sakpata provides the Earth-dense incantations and commands the doors to open for the souls to walk through. Papa Elegba holds the keys to the door and opens them when Sakpata commands. All of which are in my Vodoun family because they work as a team.
How do I learn information? We learn information about our ancestors by doing ancestry tests and diversifying our indigenous readings. I’ve had over a dozen different types of readings coupled with psychic data giving me the spiritual wealth I have today about my family magic.
We usher souls. We save souls. We bring them from darkness to light. I’m just keeping the family business going. 🕯️
