After multiple generations of alcoholism that satan tried to use to sink his nasty claws into me, my Jesus set me free!
My roommates used to watch me put myself to sleep every night with a bottle of wine. I used to create for myself a 10 hour long alcohol slumber just to avoid the nightly panic attacks that i had become accustomed to. I would hide my social anxiety with a beer. The foundation of all of my friendships was alcohol. I looked for the next drink to cover the wounds of my life; many of which were created by alcohol itself.
When i tell you that the false reality i had created for myself surrounding alcohol was nothing short of my own personal hell, i mean it. No one knew how much i drank, they likely still don’t. I hid it well while running a successful business and operating in a “thriving” social life.
I was so broken, no one knew.
But God. He broke me wide open to show me the void i was trying to fill was HIS to handle, not mine. I thank Him for His purposefulness in pulling me out. Because of Him, i get to walk in purpose, in peace, in true joy.
I want to remind you, HE could be calling you out, but YOU still have free will. You have a choice to make. Make it in faith.
The generational curse either runs through you, or it stops with you. Whats it gonna be? As for me and my house? We will serve the Lord. 🙏🏼⚔️🩸🛡️🕊️
