Ancestors can be familial, spiritual, or cultural. I believe we all have some questionable people in our genealogies, but that shouldn't keep you from exploring your roots. Even if you were adopted, you most likely know the region of where you were born, or your ethnicity, so you can always dive down in those areas to honor where you came from.
