Sweet Berry Cupcake from ScentSationals {@scentsationals} is melting on the main floor at Mom's. I just put it in the warmers about 10 minutes ago, but it's already wafting throughout the house. I will have to update the post on the longevity. Strangely, this is another blend that I always thought smelled weird. Now I'm wondering if it's all the other blends in the wax aisle mingling together, making each individual scent smell off to my nose because smelling it at Mom's, it smells good. Anyone else have this experience when smelling wax in-store versus at home? UPDATE: This scent had a solid throw for 4 hours, at which time I couldn't smell it as much anymore. My current wax empties: Another 2 candles done 👏🏼 I’ve been committed to myself on continuing to finish off candles 🕯️ Since having so many candles, I’ve been burning 4-5 candles at a time on top of pairing wax melts. Let’s just say if you were to walk in my home, it would smell like bakery goodness 😍 My days consist of melting very early in the morning than switching out my melts again during the early afternoon. Melts I use to hoard before I now want to enjoy them. I’m currently into watching Private Practice on Hulu on my days off: in-between vacuuming, folding laundry, cleaning and cooking. Blueberry Tart from BH&G {@betterhomesandgardens} is melting in the warmers. It is one I passed on when it was released a few months ago. Every time I smelled it, it turned my stomach. I decided to give it a go anyway when I grabbed some clamshells to melt at Mom's. I put it one cube each into four tealight warmers -- two in Mom's living room; two in her kitchen. I must say this blend really surprised me. We could smell it immediately, and it filled her entire main floor, traveling downstairs as well. It was very strong four roughly four hours and then calmed down. For those first few hours, though, Blueberry Tart was smacking up in the face with scent (which I prefer). Would I purchase this one again. I just lit a couple of Summer S'mores candles from Mainstays {@mainstaysliving}. They smell great in the jar, so hopefully they'll perform well. Just like other candles and wax, I found these at a random Walmart that Mom and I stopped at while on our way home from one of my appointments. After seeing @severing_velvet post about the scent, I wanted to try it. Three Walmarts later and I had them in my hands. I will have to update the post once they burn for a bit. Yesterday evening I found a Lemon Blueberry Donut clam from ScentSationals {@scentsationals} at a Walmart we passed on our way home from having my MRI done. I've never had this blend before; I've never been able to find it.. and I've looked.😂 I put one cube each in two tealight warmers, and it's doing great. Strength and throw are both excellent. It's not only filling Mom's large living area with a strong scent, it has spread to her open concept kitchen and dining area. I'm truly shocked by this one. Typically I don't even jive with lemon and blueberry together, but this really is so good. I wish I could find more Lemon Blueberry Donut at Walmart. Melting Embrace today in my bathroom, the last scent of the @allswellhome wax melt collection 🤎 I will say, I'm not a fan of almond notes or nutty scents in general so I knew this wouldn't be a scent I'd enjoy much but it has really good reviews on Walmart's website so I know even though it may not be my thing, I think a lot of you nutty lovers might enjoy this! Some reviews describe this scent as "gourmand" and the scent notes would suggest that as well but I honestly wouldn't put it in that category. Yes, the almond note is front and center, but there is a very distinctive and strong perfume type note in there as well. The vanilla is in the background and isn't very sweet, while I do not get sugarcane at all. I'm not sure if a lot of almond scents also come with a perfumey note but it is an interesting combination and it definitely doesn't smell the way I thought it would. While I am not loving this scent, I think a lot of people might so if you enjoy nutty scents I would recommend giving it a try! Now that I've reviewed all of Allswell's wax melts, I'm going to try out their room sprays and candles next! Trying out @allswellhome Balance today! 🩶 This is a tree/cologne type of scent. I get all of the scent notes equally and they mesh together well. While this is not a fragrance I would typically melt, I can appreciate that it is done well and I think if you like this type of blend, you'd enjoy this. It has a 7.5/10 throw and like other scents from Allswell, it's very long lasting. Trying out @allswellhome Calm in my bathroom today! 🤍🩶 This was my favorite of the 3 scents from my previous post. I'm typically not a fan of coconut or amber notes but this is okay to me. This is a complex fragrance. I can't pick out citrus or coconut specifically but I do get the amber. The scent isn't really fruity but rather somewhat reminds me of a perfumey shampoo and is vaguely reminiscent of Biolage to me. This is a good scent for the bathroom, it's clean and fresh. It has a 7/10 throw. I mentioned before that this scent isn't in my wheelhouse so I'm not crazy about it but it's not bad! Trying out @allswellhome Serene in my bathroom this morning! On cold sniff, I had mixed feelings since I do like it but it's out of my wheelhouse and not usually something I'd gravitate to. However, since I'm reviewing all of Allswell's wax melts for you guys, I had to give it a try. I will say that this scent smells pretty much the same on cold and warmed. To me, it comes off kind of soapy/herbal (in a good way) from the sage note and a little woodsy with some smokiness from the palo santo and incense notes. I'm so glad I picked this one up to try despite it not being something I'd usually purchase because I love this for my bathroom! I think this scent would be great anytime of the year but for me I would probably melt this in late summer/fall. It has a 7/10 throw and fills the bathroom with fragrance. I think this would go well melting in a bedroom or bathroom. Melting @allswellhome Mindful in my bathroom! I mentioned in a previous post that I didn't really like this scent on cold because it had a heavy cedar note and I dislike cedar, and I thought I picked up a birch note that wasn't listed as a scent note too? I can't stand birch notes so I was kind of turned off on this one. Now that I'm melting it, the scent has transformed. I get more sage and eucalyptus from it with just a little cedar in the background. It kind of smells like a woodsy cologne as well. This scent could probably work year round but this is one I personally would only melt in fall/winter because that's when I tend to burn/melt my woodsy cologne type scents. Since the cedar is moreso in the background, this scent is more tolerable to me and I definitely enjoy it more on warm than on cold. It has a 7/10 throw in my bathroom and fills the room nicely. I have been pretty impressed with how well these wax melts throw and how long lasting they are. I picked up 2 more @allswellhome wax melts with my @walmart grocery order yesterday! I didn't purchase these at first because they're more masculine/woodsy leaning and that's out of my wheelhouse so I went with other scents I preferred first. That being said, I do prefer Serene on cold sniff over Mindful. It smells kind of like a pine forest with a hint of smokiness to it. I like it! I could see myself melting this one in the winter. I'm not really digging Mindful on cold. I don't like cedar as a scent note and it's really prominent in this scent and I also feel like I pick up a birch note? Which I hate lol. I'm still going to give it a try though and share my honest thoughts on both! I'll be melting these in my bathroom later in the week to try out and review. After these 2, I only have 3 more wax melts by Allswell left to try! Doing a little mixology this morning and melting a mix of @scentsationals Cucumber Melon and Watermelon Sugar in 2 warmers! 🥒🍈🍉🍬 This is a sweet, refreshing fruity combo and I absolutely LOVE it! These two are so good mixed together and on their own as well. I'm super picky about cucumber and melon scents but these are perfect for me! The throw is a solid 8/10 and neither scent overpowers the other so you can smell a good mix of both. This is one of my favorite wax combos for spring/summer! Melting @betterhomesandgardens Sunlit Strawberry Patch this morning! ☀️🍓🍃 This is a sweet, slightly creamy strawberry scent that reminds me of freshly sliced strawberries in vanilla yogurt with sprinkles of sugar on top. It's similar to Scentsationals Strawberries & Cream in my opinion. I have all both in my collection but if you already have one, you probably don't need to buy the other. However, I really love both so I repurchase both anytime I'm getting low and they are both staples in my collection! I'm a sucker for a creamy strawberry scent! @betterhomesandgardens Sweet Watermelon Buttercream in my living/dining room area this morning in my new @scentsy Rock Quarry warmer! 🍉🧁 This is a classic Walmart staple in my collection and a spring/summer favorite of mine. I'm picky about watermelon scents and melon scents in general but it's really good here blended with buttercream. It's like a sweet, fresh watermelon with a creamy vanilla frosting scent. Those are the two notes I can smell the most, but I do also get a hint of that strawberry leaf note as well and the vanilla bean. Thank God I don't pick up any honeydew because I'm not a fan at all! This scent always throws a little on the light side compared to other Walmart wax, around a 7/10. To combat this, when I melt it I usually use at least two cubes and sometimes add it to multiple different warmers in the room and that helps increase throw. Do you like this scent? I woke up suuuper early this morning (3:45!) and had to stay awake so I've been melting @allswellhome Refresh to help me wake up and also to test it out and see how it compares to Relax and Glow. This is a perfect "wake me up" fragrance. It's very fresh and uplifting. I get a pretty even mix of all of the notes and none of them are overpowering. The throw is a 7/10 so a little weaker than the other two but still pretty decent. It's been melting for 3 hours now and the throw has stayed consistent during that time. Now that I've tried out and reviewed all three of the Allswell brand wax melt scents I bought, I can tell you guys with absolute certainty that these are definitely WORTH IT! And for only $2.33, that's even better! I plan on buying and trying out some of their other scents and room sprays very soon but Relax, Glow and now Refresh are all phenomenal. Great throw and scents and long lasting as well. I'm definitely going to need multiple backups of each. Trying out @allswellhome Glow this morning! 🍦🍐🥥 I absolutely loved the Relax scent from this brand last night so I was super excited to try this one today! The scent notes are vanilla, pear and coconut but it's not a fruity fragrance at all, it's actually perfumey! This scent is almost an exact dupe of Ariana Grande Cloud/Baccarat Rouge 540 perfumes and also Scentsationals Dream Cloud wax melts! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Cloud/BR540 so I am completely in love with this scent! 😍 Like Relax, it has a great throw coming in at an 8/10 and it fills up my bedroom. My bedtime melt tonight is @allswellhome Relax! 🪻💮 I could start smelling this shortly after it started melting and it smells amazing! A nice, creamy lavender scent with hints of jasmine and chamomile. The lavender is herbal but it's not harsh or astringent like some other lavenders can be since it's toned down by the other notes. The reviews on Walmart's website said these melts were highly fragrant and have a great throw and I will say, this one is definitely fragrant and I can smell it all throughout my bedroom! The throw is an 8.5./10. As a lavender lover, this is really good and that's my honest opinion! I leave my warmer on all night so I'll update this post in the morning on if the fragrance lingers or not. These are only $2.33 so pretty comparable to Walmart's other wax melts and they are about the same size. I look forward to trying out the other two I bought! I'll be reviewing Glow tomorrow. 😊 UPDATE: When I woke up this morning, the scent was more faint than it was last night (4/10) but I could still smell it! @goosecreekco Key Lime Cake Pop this morning! 💚🍰 I absolutely LOVE key lime scents and this is probably the second best one I've ever tried, behind B&BW's legendary Key Lime Pie. That's really saying something because I've tried a ton of key lime scents over the years. This is very tart and sweet and pretty authentic to real key lime in my opinion. The fluffy cake note really pushed this one over the edge and the combination is just *chef's kiss.* The throw is a solid 7.5/10 in my bedroom and a 7/10 in my combined living/dining room area. I adore the packaging on this! So cute and makes me want to eat one! Lol. I love this scent so much that when I first smelled it in Walmart, I immediately purchased 3. I might buy a couple more just to be stocked up in case this goes away. I'd LOVE to get my hands on some candles of this too! I picked up these @allswellhome wax melts with my @walmart grocery order today because I saw @smellmywax post about them yesterday and I became intrigued because I haven't seen anyone else talk about them and they have raving reviews on Walmart's website. These three interested me most so they're what I bought first to try. Glow and Relax are tied for my favorite on cold. Glow smells almost exactly like Ariana Grande Cloud/Baccarat Rouge 540 perfumes, which I love!!! The reviews online kept mentioning how strong the throw is on these and how highly fragrant they are. They do smell strong on cold and I cannot wait to try them out. I checked out the wax selection at Walmart about a week ago, deciding to bring Glow from Allswell {@allswellhome} home with me. It smelled like a fancy vanilla scent with a soft body care type background. Body care blends are not generally in my wheelhouse, but something about it drew me in. I put a single cube in the bathroom warmer the following morning. Once it melted, the scent became stronger on that body care note, which just isn't something I love in wax. However, Bradley said it was his favorite scent I've ever bought! Strength and performance were out-of-this-world strong, though. A VERY strong scent and throw with unmatched performance. In fact, five and a half days later, I could STILL smell the scent in the bathroom. When I say five and a half days, I mean 132 hours straight (and counting). And, even though it was only one cube in the bathroom (with a closed door), the scent exploded from the bathroom, filling every room of our home. Now, nearly six days later, if you open the door to walk into the bathroom, the scent is still strong enough to waft into the living room! It just keeps going like the Energizer Bunny. Because it's so strong and I'm not big on perfume type scents, I will cut a cube in half next time to compare overall performance with the neverending one cube.🤣 Melting the same scent for going on six days isn't something I can do again. I must change the wax later today. I need fruity and/bakery back now. Although the scent ultimately wasn't for me, I do give Allswell a giant thumbs up. Good morning everyone! Today I am finishing off a very old clamshell of @scentsationals Crystal Healing 💎🍊 This is from their spring/summer 2019 collection. It's one of my favorite wax melts and I'm super sad to see it go but it was starting to lose fragrance so I wanted to enjoy it before it became scentless. I don't have scent notes for this but it's a perfumey, slightly woodsy citrus fragrance and very unique. It's a great scent and I like it even more because it has my name in it lol. Still kind of stuffed up but otherwise I'm okay so I decided to try out @betterhomesandgardens Frosted Lemon Bars today! 🍋💛 I am VERY picky when it comes to bakery lemon as a lot of them don't quite smell right to me so I was kind of hesitant to pick it up but it smelled good on cold so ultimately it came home with me! I can't fully smell it since I'm still stuffy but I do smell it and I really like it! It's a very sweet and sugary cookie and frosting with a bit of fresh, sweet lemon to it.
