Big news for first time home buyers! Skipton Building Society in the UK is offering a no deposit 100% mortgage! This is the first time this has been offered since 2008. However, before you get too excited make sure you really think about it and the risks that it could bring. To me I think it could be a good option for those who are planning on having the house over the long term. However, I am also wary about the high interest rate and how expensive it is. Even a 5% deposit can make a difference to the interest rates and payments. Saying that though, not everyone is able to save up for a deposit so this could be a good option.
