See you at Booth 121 😉 About the artists: Chemin Hsiao (蕭喆旻, Taiwan) is a visual artist based in Queens and Brooklyn, New York. Hsiao received his BFA and MFA from the School of Visual Arts. In 2021, his artist banners proposal “Dandelions Know” was selected for the Noguchi Museum to raise awareness to the anti-Asian violence surging during the pandemic. He was also a recipient of New Work Grant (2017, 2019 and 2021. 2023 through NYFA) and ArtSite Public Art Commissioning (2018) from Queens Council on the Arts. Through water-color painting and printmaking, he aims to capture the personal emotions toward subjects or atmosphere, via the elusive connections from memories and cultural background. Johanna Aenderl Ryan is a visual artist based in Brooklyn, New York. She received her MFA in 2020 and has been an artist-in-residence at Voice x NYAA (2022) and ChaNorth (2023). She has been a recipient of grants and scholarships through Penland School of Craft (2023), Brooklyn Arts Council SU-CASA (2023), New York Academy of Art (2017-2020). She works in a range of mediums including trace monotypes, textiles, and animation.
