Friyaying. Shrobing on a Friday. Shrobing was all the rage in 2017 when the ‘it’ girls were wearing their jackets off the shoulder. It started with Demna Gvasalia of Balenciaga who sent his models kitted out in coming-off-the-shoulder jackets for Fall 2016. Off/White followed suit and the on-trend Rihanna adopted it for her Fenty x Puma line. Michael Kors actually introduced an off-the-shoulder coat. But as with all trends, it was Kim Kardashian who took the style to town. She made the switch from the cape style — where the jacket is draped across your shoulders — to the “undone” slouch, quicker than you can put on a jacket. Soon the Kardashian-Jenner clan was doing it and the Hadids — Gigi and Bella — followed. Closer home, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, and Alia Bhatt have given this style a nod. Vogue US termed it shrobing – a styling quirk that involves peeling your coat off your shoulders so that it sits across your deltoids. The advanced version is shrugging where the outer layer hangs around the upper arm. The idea? It gives you a nonchalant air. In an article in UK Vogue on the trend, its fashion features director Sarah Harris said: “There’s always appeal in a look that appears nonchalant and ‘thrown on’ which is what this is, although, of course, it takes a lot more prepping than if you just put your coat on properly.” The other advantage: it makes your neck look longer. Here’s me trying to bring it back in 2023 with the one shoulder shrobe. You can try it with something interesting underneath – like a statement T-shirt, bralet or bandeau. I tried with a saree blouse! HOW TO SHROBE 1. It doesn’t work with every coat, the fabric has to be fluid. 2. Go hands-free. Ditch a bag and make use of the pockets. At best use a handbag. 3. If doing it in winter, wear a nice polo neck or turtleneck to drive away the cold. 4. For summer, shrugging is ideal. Use a tassle shrug and wear a spaghetti top or a bandeau underneath for visual interest. Don’t over accessorise. Подача той или иной идеи играет ключевую роль. Как необычно преподнести ту или иную вещь, как интересно стилизовать🍁🍂. Многословность, гиперсайз, рубашки,расстёгнутые на животе, маски и ещё с десяток приёмов мы наблюдаем из сезона в сезон. Шробинг происходит от английских слов shoulder( плечо) и robbing ( грабить, отнимать). Это способ носить верхнюю одежду так , чтобы оголить плечи. Стилистический приём стал настолько популярным , что его используют абсолютно все. Приём стал безумно популярен после показа Balenciaga. Огромные пуховики, оголяющие линию плеч, там скомбинировали с водолазками, украшенными блестящими камнями, а плащи - с трикотажными топами.Каждая вторая героиня стрит - стайл съёмок носила верхнюю одежду именно таким образом. Хайп держится уже несколько сезонов подряд , а этой осенью поклонницам шробинга « зелёный свет»И это будет интересней , чем носить верхнюю одежду традиционным способом. Шробинг зародился не в прошлом году , а в эпоху « правления» Кристобаля Балегсиаги, Кристиана Диора и других королей купюра. Для шробинга подойдут вещи и на молнии , и на пуговицах- этот момент не так уж и важен, а вот серьёзную роль здесь играют материал и фасон. Вещь должна быть свободной , а ткань пластичной и мягкой. Шробинг и сумки не уживаются друг с другом- клатч или напоясная сумка то что нужно. Аксессуары играют немаловажную роль, например гигантские серьги . Шробинг, нет не шопинг и не шугаринг, а именно шробинг, что же это за чудо такое? ☝️От английского shrobing или shoulder robing – это способ носить верхнюю одежду так, чтобы оголить плечи, причём это прекрасно работает и в многослойных комплектах. Приспущенные плечики пальто, чрезмерно распахнутый ворот рубашки, косухи бомбера, джинсовки — тоесть, всё, что не надето на плечи до упора, можно отнести к этому стилистическому приему. ☝️Прием оказался в центре внимания ещё несколько лет назад благодаря Демна Гвасалия, после показа Balenciaga сезона осень/зима 2016/17, так что понятие шробинг не ново, но до сих пор пользуется бешеной популярностью. ☝️В моих постах вы тоже иногда видите шробинг, готовя подборки в некоторых комплектах мне интуитивно хочется открыть плечи, так как общий look от этого очень часто выигрывает. ☝️Like, save пост в закладках и смело практикуем шробинг, это очень красивый приём, а особенно легко с ним подружиться в тёплые сезоны, когда слои одежды лёгкие и эластичные.

Outfit today for a meet up with @theimageconsco stylists. Emmeline @personalstylists talked us through creating action plans for the year. I’ve created some mini goals (so much easier to break down into tiny steps) so that I have some achievable steps for the next few months. Feeling really inspired & motivated to be picking the styling course up again (finishing it week after next) & to have met up with some of the other stylists.
