Friends and Family, We once again are collecting copies of On the Night You Were Born to distribute to babies born at Banner Thunderbird Hospital in June. Over the years, 2,000 families have received books. This year, Sebastian would be 10 and we want to celebrate big. So to mark this milestone, we are also donating 10 mini-libraries to NICUs throughout Maricopa County. Each library will have 20 new books from a curated list that is appropriate for parents to read to their infants while in care at the hospitals. If you would like to help, we have created an Amazon wish list for both the traditional book giveaway and to stock the libraries (links in bio) We estimate each library will cost $250 to fully outfit. Kristy (2014) dir. Olly Blackburn Justine decides to stay alone at her college dorm over the Thanksgiving break, but when she becomes the target of a terrifying cult she must face her fears and find a way to fight back. Well, because I couldn't watch the Thanksgiving slasher I wanted to watch this week...*looks gazingly at Eli Roth*... I decided to watch this hidden gem instead. I first came across this movie from a friend at a horror movie forum and was excited to check it out. I wasn't disappointed and this became a staple for me to throw on around Thanksgiving (until I found Blood Rage). It's still pretty fun, but there are other movies that do this scenario better justice. At the end of the day, this is much like your standard home invasion/cat-and-mouse chase type of horror movie that The Strangers, Them, and Hush all do better. This one is still fun though with a strong cast. Haley Bennet does a good job here, James Ransome shows up as he tends to do, Lucas Till is here, and Twilight's Ashley Greene is the villain here. Happy half birthday buddy! 6 months! What a huge month it's been! Started at daycare, I have returned to work, you have finally remembered how to have a bottle properly (much to everyone's relief!), and you are so settled in your room with your new friends and teachers. Violet comes to visit you most days, to see how you are doing and to play with you if you are awake - I love seeing you together, and I especially love that I get to see you both throughout my work day. You are now rolling onto your back as well, and trying to get your knees under you in preparation for crawling...😅 You are already on the move, and I know it won't be long till you are army crawling everywhere. You are a hungry little dude and are about to start solids (hopefully this helps with the grumpiness after you finish a bottle!). Happy 5 months, little buddy! This month has flown by, and you are growing and changing so fast. It's been a big month of firsts: you rolled over for the first time, went for your first swim, and had your first visit at school to get familiar before Mama heads back to work in a few short weeks. You were so proud the first time you rolled onto your tummy, and I somehow managed to capture the huge smile that you gave me right after! You aren't quite sure about the swimming yet, but don't hate it, so I guess that's a win?! 🤷♀️ The first visit to school went well, and you seem to love it so far. We know how relaxed and sociable you are, so we know you will be great! Mama has a wee bit of anxiety about it, though, as you are still learning to take a bottle. We will keep working on it, though, and hopefully, you will be all good by the time you start in a couple of weeks. 🤞 You have had a string of nights where you have slept through...not sure if it will continue, but it's awesome while it lasts! 😅 This month, it has been super special seeing how you and Violet are bonding, and watching your relationship blossom is such a joy.
