SAI DEVOTEE'S EXPERIENCE: "Om Sai Ram🙏🏽 Pranams at the lotus feet of Shirdi Baba and Swami. Baba is always with me, of course he tests me so frequently! Recently, my son traveled abroad and then took a vacation in another country. I had no information about his flights, length of visit, hotels etc. I was extremely stressed as there was no response to my messages. I kept repeating Baba’s name and my son messaged me with details of his return trip. This time I was not as anxious as I normally would have been as somehow I was sure that Baba was in charge and would take care of him. There are some things I have been praying for and one of them is the health of my elderly parents. My husband is in remission (with Baba’s grace) and I pray that the disease does not return. And it was so severe that she didn't stop itching for an hour straight. Blood started coming because of excessive itching. And in an hour, we had a flight to board. 1st Assurance of Baba: By assurances we mean promises. Baba gave 11 promises to his devotees that he always delivers by. These assurances have been written by Pandit Mamledar and are a great service to all Sai devotees. Let us get started with the first assurance: “The one whose feet touch the sacred land of Shirdi his sufferings will come to an end.” On first glance, this assurance is seemingly very easy to understand. But in reality, it has a very deep meaning. There are two main elements of this assurance. We can ask ourselves two questions to understand these two elements “what is meant by the one” and “what is meant by the land of Shirdi?” Let us first dive into the second question: Pawar Kaka says that to understand this assurance, we should first understand the meaning of the word “Shirdi”. Looking at the history of Shirdi, we come to know that in the ancient times, Shirdi was known as Dishila post which it was known as Shiladhi. “Dhi” means “collection or reservoir” by “Shila” it means “good character”. By this we mean “a reservoir of good character”. A person who can differentiate between good and bad and stay true to their “Shila” or “good character “ is what we mean by Shiladhi. This understanding is important as it helps us understand the first question: “what is meant by the one?” The one who is of good character and is working towards their good character is only deserving of stepping their foot in Shirdi. To add to this, Pawar Kaka says that anyone can visit Shirdi. But does everyone go to Sai with a sense of purity in our souls? Purity is what we should be having in our souls when we visit shirdi. By “His sufferings will come to an end” it is not meant that all his/her sufferings will come to an end. He/she shall suffer according to his Karmas in the present life and Prarabdhs. But Guru Bhakti and Sai’s naam smaran can get us through everything by providing us strength and direction. SAI DEVOTEE'S EXPERIENCES: "Om Sai Ram I want to share a few Sai miracles. 1. I had severe hairfall suddenly and when I underwent necessary tests, I didn't find any deficiency. This scared me even more not knowing for what I'm losing so much hair. I prayed Sai to please help me control my hairfall. By his grace, my hairfall is 50% controlled now, still waiting for my complete cure. 2. My parents had some health issues and I was getting scared day by day and I prayed Sai that there shouldn't be any issue.
