Met with the Creston Business Association and the Creston Chamber of Commerce today to discuss the homeless, opioid, and mental health crisis happening in Creston. Talks of a shelter in Creston are leaving more questions than answers. Where will the funding come from? Who will be accountable? How will Creston care for shelter clients without the resources required - which Creston does not currently have? Creston should consult with business owners and homeowners alike for what they would like to see moving forward. At this time there are enough questions to warrant further conversations about shelters in Creston. It would be advantageous to look into communities that already have resources in place instead of duplicating resources, which would be a tax burden on citizens by undoubtedly increasing taxes in Creston. #robmorrisonmp #cdnpoli #cityofcreston #crestonchamberofcommerce #crestonbcbusiness
