In this game you need to save civilians and fight mercenaries whilst surviving almost all natural disasters known to man in order to get through a rough day for the main character. It's unfortunate this game didn't do well as it's just a fun game to play. It also didn't release in America so that is also a reason it didn't do well. Try ut out if you can. A year after losing his best friend Steve, Raymond is tasked with finding Steve's sister Lisa, who has been kidnapped by terrorists. As Ray tries to track her down, a series of natural disasters happen, all within a 24-hour period. The deeper you go within the game, the more these disasters don't seem so natural. It's a very silly, very over the top action game published by Nintendo and developed by Xenoblade developer Monolith Soft, that as silly as it is, its story keeps you gripped at the same time. It even ended with potential for a sequel, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen since this game is now 15 years old. It never saw a release in the US, but it is so cheap, that importing a copy really wouldn't cost too much. Have you played Disaster: Day of Crisis on Wii? If so, what did you think to it? Now if there's one thing that the 'Super Smash Bros.' series excels at, it's introducing people to new franchises and/or games, and the latest title is no exception. In fact, had it not been for 'Super Smash Bros. Ultimate', I probably would never know, let alone play some interesting (and maybe fun) games from past years - and here is one of them. 'Disaster: Day of Crisis' is basically a quirky mix between a Roland Emmerich film and 'Time Crisis' (of all things), and for that alone I honestly don't know if I can take this game seriously or not. I mean, seeing how it's a Japanese game from the 2000s that is set in America and all... (plus if games like 'Metal Wolf Chaos' and 'Deadly Premonition' have taught me anything, it's that Japanese America is full of camp - unintentional or otherwise). That aside, if you can adapt to motion controls very well, then this game should be worth a try at least. For reasons unknown, the game randomly freezes on my Dolphin emulator. But then again, I did see the whole playthrough on YouTube some time back, so I don't see any reason to continue.
