Tilo Ghosh Chowdhury, left, professor of marketing, and Hans Nguyen, assistant professor of marketing, presented their research at the 2024 American Marketing Association Winter Conference in Florida, Feb. 23-25. . Nguyen presented his work on the psychological and behavioral consequences of customers who make a late payment. By combining a deep theoretical discussion with a rigorous methodological execution to investigate an interdisciplinary phenomenon, his research has won multiple awards. . Chowdhury and her student researchers conducted in-depth interviews on campus and presented their understanding of community perceptions towards emotional support animals and their owners. This year, their research theme centers on the topic of "The Future of Work" across various disciplines. The technological advancements, particularly in AI and automation, are reshaping work practices, organizational structures and societal institutions including labor markets and education systems. . They invite students and faculty to contribute papers that explore these dynamics. Your research may address, but is not limited to, the impact of AI and automation on specific job roles, the influence of demographic and socio-political changes on work culture and the effectiveness of new work models. .
