I had a conversation with someone today who is currently going through a difficult time emotionally. If there's one thing that is worse than dwelling on your mistakes it's constantly being reminded of them. Noone on this earth is perfect, the only perfect being is Jesus. We all fall short we all have our flaws. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" that is what the bible says. We have to learn from our mistakes and move on. It may not always be easy and some situations do take more time than others but it's all about progress not perfection. If you happen to have someone who is constantly reminding you of your past and your "mistakes" I honestly advise you to separate yourself from that individual. Clearly they are going through something but refuse to accept responsibility, so it is much easier to keep reminding others of their past and mistakes. Matthew 7:3 " why do you look for the speck of sawdust in your brothers eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own?". Its easy to point the finger but takes real maturity to accept your own reality without constantly trying to take someone else down. Don't live in your mistakes and do not allow someone to try to keep you from your own personal growth. Push through, love yourself. God thinks the world of you, regardless of the opinion of others.
