🧩 Here is my first ever solid color puzzle, 631 pieces, the well known Krypt from @ravensburgerglobal To be honest, I knew in advance that it won’t be easy, but I’ve never imagined it being this hard. I’ve never thought about giving up the #32000pieces, but I was seriously considering to finish this one without solving. Something tells me the title to this puzzle is misleading. Not too sure this will cause me to relax, especially if I do it on my black card table 🤔 Tom sure likes to give me challenging gifts. Maybe that's why they put the warning on the side - it's to warn the person who bought it, they may get choked out of frustration by the person doing the puzzle. 😏

Gold Krypt - 631 pieces @ravensburgerglobal I have a bet going on with my mom that if I can finish this in 2 days without using the solution, she'll buy me any puzzle I want. The clock's ticking and the timer ends tonight at midnight (7 hours from now). I'm currently halfway through it so fingers crossed 🤞 I know #kryptathon is over. It arrived 2 days after the end. But I honestly wasn't willing to spend more than €10 on this so I waited for the price to go down 🤣. #puzzleronabudget

Here it is in all it's golden glory. As others have mentioned, I found the best strategy to be working from the inside out. Gold was much harder for me than silver, partially because the edges did not all immediately connect and partically because I wasn't sure exactly what the pattern was. I sorted the pieces by general shape first and focused on any that curved. It really helped to get that inner circle done! I did resort several times, grouping the pieces by sizes. I chose not to use the map or box (although I firmly believe there is no cheating when puzzling - unless you're in a competition). I wanted to see if I could do it without the keys. I did spend far too many long stretches at the puzzle table. I was SO motivated by everyone doing the #kryptathon that I just wanted to keep going. I am paying for that with some very sore shoulders. The last photo has the red in it - the text on my aspercreme bottle 😂 (@niecie_pieces) I have been using it liberally to help relieve the tension in my shoulders. Wow, this one is tough!
