"It takes courage to become who you really are." This Giving Tuesday, the Old Brick Playhouse is hoping to raise awareness and donations for the cultivation of Appalachian art. The Apprentice Program focuses on self-esteem building, mentoring, improvisation, public presentation, and of course, acting and the dramatic arts. Once operating on a yearly schedule, the program now exists in two sessions per year - one in the Fall and one in the Spring - seeing about 40 students per session, and historically boasting over 3,000 alumni. Each session culminates in a full-fledged performance that consistently sells out for its entire week-long run!
