One Act...Income Tax Act...giving different tax liability to salaried tax payer and business tax payer for the same amount of salary / turnover. In case of business tax payer having turnover of Rs. 3 crore will be paying income tax of Rs. 2.496 lakh which is far lower than the income tax liability of salaried tax payer earing Rs. 1 crore of salary. Even the tax liability of such business tax payer (having turnover of Rs. 3 crore) is lower than the surcharge of salaried tax payer (earning salary of Rs. 1 crore). Great mockery of tax laws. The SME business community is hardly paying any income tax. In GST also small businesses like traders, suppliers and manufacturers hardly declare their real turnover to the GST department. Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman administered the oath of integrity and secrecy to Justice (Retd.) Sanjaya Kumar Mishra as the President of the GST Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT), in New Delhi, today. Justice (Retd.) Mishra’s appointment marks the beginning of the operationalisation of the GSTAT, a crucial body for resolving GST-related disputes. The GSTAT is the Appellate Authority established under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, to hear various appeals under the said Act and the respective State/Union Territories GST Acts against the orders of the first appellate authority. It consists of a Principal Bench and various State Benches. As per the approval of the GST Council, the Government has notified the Principal Bench, to be located at New Delhi, and 31 State Benches at various locations across the country. Process for appointment of Judicial Members and Technical Members is already in progress. The Tribunal will ensure swift, fair, judicious and effective resolution to GST disputes, besides significantly reducing the burden on higher courts. The establishment of the GSTAT would further enhance the effectiveness of the GST system in India and foster a more transparent and efficient tax environment in the country. ഡല്‍ഹി: 2024 ലെ പൊതുതെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില്‍ വീണ്ടും അധികാരത്തില്‍ വന്നാല്‍ ഇലക്ടറല്‍ ബോണ്ടുകള്‍ തിരികെ കൊണ്ടുവരാനാണ് ബി.ജെ.പി ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര ധനമന്ത്രി നിര്‍മ്മല സീതാരാമന്‍. ഫെബ്രുവരിയില്‍ സുപ്രിംകോടതി ഇലക്ടറല്‍ ബോണ്ടുകള്‍ റദ്ദാക്കിയിരുന്നു. പദ്ധതിയില്‍ ചിലമാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ അനിവാര്യമാണെന്നും കോടതി പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. 2024 ലെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില്‍ സമ്പദ് വ്യവസ്ഥയുടെ അവസ്ഥ വലിയ ചര്‍ച്ചയാകും. പണപ്പെരുപ്പം നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലാക്കാന്‍ സാധിച്ചുവെന്നും ധനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. പ്രതിപക്ഷം അഴിമതിക്കാരാണെന്നും വടക്ക്-തെക്ക് വിഭജനം ഉണ്ടാക്കാന്‍ അവര്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുകയാണെന്നും സീതാരാമന്‍ ആരോപിച്ചു. ഈ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പുകളില്‍ 370 സീറ്റുകളാണ് ബി.ജെ.പിയുടെ യഥാര്‍ത്ഥ ലക്ഷ്യം, ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യന്‍ ജനതയെ ദ്രാവിഡ പാര്‍ട്ടികള്‍ തെറ്റിദ്ധരിപ്പിക്കുകയാണെന്നും അവര്‍ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ത്തു. 'ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടവരുമായി ചര്‍ച്ചകള്‍ നടത്തി എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും സ്വീകാര്യമായ ഒരു ചട്ടക്കൂട് ഉണ്ടാക്കും. സുതാര്യത ഉറപ്പാക്കി കള്ളപ്പണം ബോണ്ടുകളിലേക്ക് എത്തുന്നത് തടയും. സുപ്രിംകോടതി വിധി പുനഃപരിശോധിക്കാന്‍ കേന്ദ്രസര്‍ക്കാര്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും' സീതാരാമന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. 2018-ല്‍ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച ഇലക്ടറല്‍ ബോണ്ടുകള്‍ സ്റ്റേറ്റ് ബാങ്ക് ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഏത് ശാഖയില്‍ നിന്നും വാങ്ങാന്‍ സാധിക്കും. ഈ സ്‌കീമിന് കീഴില്‍ കോര്‍പ്പറേറ്റുകളും വിദേശ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളും ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ഉപസ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ വഴി നല്‍കുന്ന സംഭാവനകള്‍ക്ക് 100% നികുതി ഇളവ് ലഭിക്കും. അതേസമയം ദാതാക്കളുടെ ഐഡന്റിറ്റി രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാര്‍ട്ടികളും രഹസ്യമായി സൂക്ഷിക്കും. ഫെബ്രുവരി 15നാണ് സുപ്രിംകോടതിയുടെ അഞ്ചംഗ ഭരണഘടന ബെഞ്ച് ഇലക്ടറല്‍ ബോണ്ടുകള്‍ ഭരണഘടനാ വിരുദ്ധമാണെന്ന് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. ജനങ്ങളുടെ അറിയാനുള്ള അവകാശത്തിന് വിരുദ്ധമാണ് ഇലക്ടറല്‍ ബോണ്ടുകളുടെ ഘടനയെന്നും സുപ്രിംകോടതി വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിരുന്നു. #NirmalaSitaraman #latestmalayalamnews #Loksabhaelection2024 #ElectoralBond
