INSTAGRAM UPDATES YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ⚠️ We shared this earlier on our story, but here's a more detailed breakdown of what's new and we are glad to say we prayed to the instagram gods and they listened 🙉 1. 🎬SPLIT VIDEOS This is something that external apps like CapCut are a godsend for, and one of the many reasons people use external apps, but now you can do this in app 2. 🏃♀️CLIP SPEED You can now speed up or down clips. This means you can now create the aesthetic you’re looking for, whether it be to increase speed with a music beat drop, or just for fun. 3. 🔙REPLACE CLIPS Now this is magic! Swap out one clip for another without having to timing or order of the other clips in the reel. The audio, among other elements that you spent ages on adjusting, will also not budge 4. 🎧AUDIO TRIM Choose where and when you want the audio to start and end. If you want just the chorus to get your viewers’ heads bobbing, or just the build up to the chorus to build tension and suspension, then you do what your heart desires 5. ✂️ADJUST CLIPS USED IN THE REEL Cut the inserted video to only include a particular part of the clip in your reel. From here, you can: Enter a channel name. ➡️ Choose an audience for your channel. ➡️ Choose when your channel ends. ➡️ Choose to show your channel on your profile. Should you pay for the blue check? 🧐 [suspicious emoji] I subscribed to Meta Verified to test it out and here’s what I think: Meta Verified could be a good option for you if: • you’ve noticed a lot of suspicious login attempts on your account and want extra protection. • you want an in-app, direct line to Meta’s customer support that’s run by real people. - through the Meta Verified menu, you can reach someone at Meta directly for a variety of reasons. • you receive a lot of th.reats, people impersonate your account often, or you’re in an industry where having your identity verified matters, and you want to speak to someone directly rather than submitting reports that are mostly reviewed by AI. - you can submit an email and receive a response within 24 hours instead of waiting sometimes days or weeks after filing a report. • you like to have all of your resources directly from Instagram, and in one place. - in the Meta Verified menu, there’s a great library of information to help you better understand how IG works and what you can do to improve your chances of ranking in recommendations and getting more reach and engagement. Meta Verified is probably NOT a good option for you if: • you want the blue check to cover up your lack of experience or authority in your industry. • you’re paying for verification because your content hasn’t been performing well and you think verification will improve your reach and engagement. • you want to verify an account that doesn’t include your legal name or a version of your legal name in the Name section of your bio.
