While this coming year will mark my 5th wedding season as a professional officiant, my ceremony writing journey began over 10 years ago when I insisted on writing our entire wedding ceremony myself. We had a family friend act as our JP. Because I am who I am, there was no way I was going to let her read a cookie cutter ceremony for the masses. a proposal and wedding in one day?! that’s right! ally + bill planned a little surprise for everyone, including getting officially engaged the morning of their wedding, then heading out to sea on @just_banded for their vows, ceremony by the amazing @marianneseventyr, catching lobster among the flowers by @eldebery in their @grundens, and sharing a first dance to whatever song was on the radio station that came in off the coast of maine. 🎶 family awaited them back at the dock for a celebration at @spinneysmaine as they waved from the bow of the boat, newlyweds instead of the anticipated ‘we’re engaged!’ the best plot twist, if you ask me. so happy to be a part of this very special day. congratulations to these two. ❤️✨
