Dirigido por Frank Capra (Aconteceu Naquela Noite). O filme começou como um pequeno conto da autoria de Philip Van Doren Stern, que depois foi vendido e incluído em cartões de Natal. Had the thought for a long while that it wasn't right to cut down a tree to live out it's last moments as Christmas decor. As time does...it eased my perspective. I mean... The pros far outweigh the cons for me. Well, hello everyone! It’s my first Cooking Tip Tuesday for you. Have you ever pulled your tortilla shells out of the refrigerator and had the exact problem I did? There is an easy fix. You warm the tortilla on a skillet and as it’s warming you place some of your shredded cheese on the area of the tortilla that is torn. You allow the cheese to melt and the flip it over to “sear” it. Flip it back over and you have your warmed tortilla and it’s no longer falling apart, so it’s easy to eat it as a taco or how ever your heart desires. Не то чтоб лишённый всяких сил или убитый, я-таки получил приятное ощущение, когда на обратном пути, мне на встречу, на самокатике проехал ребёнок, который сам себе говорил: "я усех апганю". Ребёнок ещё не очень хорошо говорит, он маленький, но я отчётливо услышал: "я всех обговню..." Einer meiner #Lieblingsfilme ist „Ist das Leben nicht schnön?“ von Frank Capra. Mittlerweile ein typischer #Weihnachtsfilm behandelt die Tragikomödie das Leben von George Bailey, der seine eigenen Bedürfnisse hinter denen anderer stellt und nicht fragt, was er davon hat, wenn er hilft. Als ihm dann beim Kampf um das Überleben seiner Baugenossenschaft das Wasser bis zum Hals steht, bekommt er einen Schutzengel gesandt ... ich bin überzeugt, die meisten kennen die Geschichte. Ist die Verfilmung der Kurzgeschichte „The Greatest Gift“ von Philip van Doren Stern nur romantisierte Unterhaltung? Weit gefehlt. Der Protagonist erscheint zwar oft etwas naiv, überzeugt aber durch Integrität, Offenheit und Wertschätzung. Mit einem #miteinanderstattgegeneinander setzt er sich für die nachhaltige Entwicklung seiner Heimatstadt #Bedfordfalls ein. Als Gegner wird ihm der ebenezerscroogeesque Henry F. Potter gegenüber gestellt (dessen Schauspieler ein bekannter Sprecher der entsprechenden Rolle bei #AChristmasCarol Hörspielen war), der für rücksichtslosen und gewinnmaximierenden Kapitalismus steht. Am Ende gibt es ein Happy End und eine schöne Widmung für George Bailey (von Clarence, seinem Schutzengel): „Ein Mensch, der Freunde hat, ist nie ein Versager!“ Kennt ihr den Film? Oder vielleicht sogar die Kurzgeschichte? We can't end Hulu Week until we watch The Exorcist III... . The Exorcist III (1990) . Fifteen years after the original film, the philosophical Lieutenant William F. Kinderman is investigating a baffling series of murders around Georgetown that all contain the hallmarks of The Gemini, a deceased serial killer. His investigation eventually leads him to a catatonic patient in a psychiatric hospital who has recently started to speak, claiming he is The Gemini and detailing the murders, but bears a striking resemblance to Father Damien Karras. . So meme aside this is one of my favorite sequels, I've read both The Exorcist and Legion and like the film adaptations of them. The Exorcist II: The Heretic is...well it's own thing lol. But this one ignores all of that but took notes from the first. I guess it helps when the author is also the director. So if you've seen the first one then you should see this one. It ties some loose strings up and unravels a bunch of others. Overall the casting is great, there's some genuinely creepy moments and has one of the best jump scares in film IMO.
