wippy wip of the most recent personal piece I’m working on ❤️ This is a larger piece of my fiancé and I’s dnd characters Ellie and Sam, but here I just have a wip of Sam and how he’s coming along. I absolutely love love LOVE rendering sm and this is one of my most favorite steps of the process. I’ve really been trying to focus on how to shade and color faces recently - spending a lot of time studying the structure and planes of the face. We've noticed many artists concerned about Meta's policy on training its AI models, which potentially includes the use of posts, photos and captions on its platforms. @concept_101_event has also posted a simple guide to show you how to opt out of Meta's AI data scraping. Meanwhile, artists like @evaboneva are helping the art community by sharing advice on how to protect your artwork using free software like Glaze and Nightshade. Eva says: "If you can't opt out via Meta (and even if you can), I highly recommend glazing your artwork and using Nightshade if possible." Glaze is designed to protect human artists by disrupting AI's style mimicry. It creates a set of minimal changes to artwork that are indistinguishable to the human eye, but drastically different to AI models. Nightshade works similarly, but instead of defending against style mimicry, it distorts features as seen by generative AI models, essentially poisoning them. My entry for @imaginefxmagazine #ifxcharacterredesign This was so much fun I have to say and challenging too especially goofy’s character. Gender swap’s are always a thing fun to think about with favourite characters, not only the look of them but the personality’s change too. ❤️ So Sora’s name and personality would largely stay the same as the name is a Gender Neutral name and his bubbly/ outgoing /friendly personality should not change. But I’m pritty sure she would find the moogles VERY cute 😂✨ 🩵 For the role as Royal Magician my fist thought was well Daisy, however. I didn’t feel she fit…so after some thought and research I came across Donald’s Sister Della and she’s perfect. Her adventurous spirit would be fitting for visiting new worlds, I can imagine her running off ahead excited to see what’s out there and getting into some trouble along the way 🙄😂 💜 As for the role of Royal Knight that was a little harder to think of…I didn’t want Goofy to be a gender swap more like a re-cast like with Donald’s character swap so after a lot of searching obscure characters I came across Mocha Chino a.k.a Beret Girl from “An Extremely Goofy Movie” admittedly I don’t know much about her character but I got a sense of her with some clips I saw. I can images her clashing with Sora, maybe when at Traverse Town Sora thought she was a heartless and tried to attack her and that’s how they where introduced, not the best first impression 😅 (a bit like Donald and Sora not really getting along at the beginning) but over time they both warmed up to each other. I made her more mature as with goofy I wanted an older character. And I made her look military ready, best of the Royal guards ans has a medal to prove. I see her as an Impa like character (from Zelda) and a little like Pain (FF10) she would be a nightmare to write for with the rhymes she dose 😂😅. Relatively quick (for me) portrait of an orc troll shaman I did the other day in one session. I was using the remaining paints left on the palette which I think was alizarin crimson, yellow ochre, cadmium yellow, burnt sienna, cobalt blue and titanium white.
