We both go into lurking mode when we're happy. Ready to deal with the next disaster when it comes upon us. But is that really normal? Are there people out there who have good things happen to them and, without much thought, accept them that way? Who don't overthink what could go wrong? During our conversation, we hypothesized that the intensity to feel things might be a spectrum. Could it be that there are people who feel less, but who are also much more resilient and don‘t experience grievances as intensely? And should that be the case, are you born this way or has that something to do with the way you grew up? Because if you feel things less intensely, you would also feel unhappiness less intensely and you wouldn’t be so strongly conditioned to expect it, when you‘re happy. ✨ Parenthèse dans le temps ✨ Depuis cette année, je me remets enfin à la lecture et cette phrase de @virginiegrimaldi dans son roman "Le parfum du bonheur est plus fort sous la pluie" m'a fait marqué un arrêt dans ma lecture. Un arrêt réconfortant & une furieuse envie de réaliser cette illustration sur base d'une photo d'Odin et moi prise quelques jours avant 🥰 "Je ne peux pas arrêter le temps mais je peux lui donner plus d'épaisseur" Je suis tellement d'accord avec cette phrase ! BOOK HOUSES 💕 (FR↓) Here is my last minute entry for @bookdepository ‘s bookmark competition, still following the same theme as before. When you read a book, you enter a world totally different from the one you know, and this is what I wanted to illustrate here. You knock on the door and get transported in other people’s lives, get on an adventure with them, then say your goodbyes and leave again… often with a few memories. Again, I wanted to represent the essence of reading a book, and I think it would look great on a bookmark, don’t you? _________ Voici ma participation de dernière minute au concours de marques-page de @bookdepository. J’ai continué sur le même thème. Quand on lit un livre, on entre dans un monde totalement différent de celui qu’on connaît. C'est ce que je voulais illustrer ici. On frappe à la porte et on est transporté dans la vie d'autres personnes, on part à l'aventure avec elles, puis on leur dit au revoir et on repart… souvent avec quelques souvenirs. BOOK TRAVEL 💕 (FR↓) Here is my second entry for @bookdepository’s bookmark competition. I got so inspired with my first one that I decided to continue in this direction. For me, books make you travel. They can take you to the other end of the world in minutes, but also to other epochs, with many different characters. I think this is one of the most important things writers do: they transport readers in imagined worlds. And this is what I wanted to represent in this illustration…. I thought it would be a perfect theme for a bookmark competition! Do you like reading? _________ Voici le second marque-page que j’ai réalisé pour le concours organisé par Bookdepository. Le premier m'a tellement inspirée que j'ai décidé de continuer dans cette direction. Pour moi, les livres nous font voyager. Ils peuvent nous emmener à l'autre bout du monde en quelques minutes, mais aussi dans d'autres époques, avec tellement de personnages différents. BOOK GARDEN 💕 (FR↓) Hi everybody, and happy new year! I know I am a bit late but since it is my first post of 2023, I guess it's appropriate! I took some time for myself and went to see friends and family over the last few weeks, so I have been busy and haven't created much!
