One day, he encounters The Freak Master beating Crazy Joe for biting a woman in the crowd and if he doesn't intervene, it might prove fatal. Swifty, he jumps in and fights back the Freak Master, potentially saving Johnathan's life, but in return The Freak Master's aggression turns onto Alvero and he leaves a gaping scar across the middle of The Flexible Man's face.
