The Force was calling to do a quick trip to Disneyland to check out The Seasons of the Force last week, so of course I answered! I decided to take advantage of the Magic Key rate at The Grand Legacy at the Park - one of the Good Neighbor Hotels just across the street from the main entrance of the parks. It took me less than 10 minutes to get from the room to security! The rooms were a good size, the bathroom had a tub/shower combo with a double sink separate from the bathroom. The pool was a bit of an oasis in the middle of the property surrounded by lots of greenery! There was a gradual entry and some fun sprayers for everyone to enjoy! They also have a rooftop restaurant called The Fifth that can be accessed from the lobby. It has an amazing view of the parks and would be a great place to enjoy fireworks! Reservations can be made in advance online, just note they do have a 2 hour limit to your stay and after 10 PM the restaurant is adult only. The front desk staff were super friendly and welcoming and the lobby always had refreshing ice cold flavored water and freshly popped popcorn every afternoon! One of the things I like about Disneyland is the number of Good Neighbor Hotels that are within walking distance! SO many options which help make a trip to Disneyland more affordable! On our last trip we decided to stay at The Anaheim Hotel. This property is one of the hotels “across the street” from Disneyland. I timed our walk in the morning it took us 7 minutes from the front door of the hotel to the main gates (that included going through security). Our room was an average hotel room. It was clean and had some fun retro touches. What made our room above average was the great enclosed patio space. It had a small table with chairs and a padded lounge chair. When we opened the sliding glass door it really made the room feel larger. What I liked best about this hotel were the grounds! Lots of green space and seating to relax by the fountains and hammocks by the oversized outdoor games. There is a nice outdoor pool area, and a restaurant and gift shop on site. About last weekend… We checked out a new Disneyland Good Neighbor hotel and I have mostly positive things to say about it. We chose a bi-level loft suite, which can sleep up to 7 guests. It was a great price! Around $475/night on a holiday weekend for a room of this size. It has a bedroom with two queen beds, a loft with one king bed, and a full sized sleeper sofa in the living room. It has two full baths and a full kitchen with a stove, microwave, dishwasher, and full sized refrigerator. The room was slightly dated, but it was clean and in excellent repair. Parking and breakfast for all occupants is included in the resort fee payable at the resort ($30 as of 1/15/24). The breakfast buffet is very nice with 4 rotating hot items, a waffle bar, cereal, and breads + bagels. If you are participating in a runDisney race weekend in its 2024 format, this is the most convenient hotel for the race events. The security checkpoint is located at the same intersection as the hotel. There were a few downsides that you should be aware of when choosing this hotel. There are FAR more convenient good neighbor hotels. It takes about 20 min to walk to Disneyland from this hotel and longer to Downtown Disney and the Disneyland hotels. And the most critical negative was the quality of the air in the room. We did have the heat on and it sucked ALL of the humidity out of the room. To the point where this east coaster had a terrible time trying to get to sleep and woke up for large periods of time every night due to the dryness. Whenever I have a mini stay-cation, I stay at Hilton Anaheim. I stayed here during my vacation for a few nights when I had daily long Disneyland nights including Oogie Boogie Bash, and it's only about a 15 minute walk to the Disneyland Resort Harbor entrance. You also can't miss this great view overlooking Disney California Adventure Park. You can also see the Main St Disneyland Railroad train station, Sleeping Beauty Castle, and several other Disneyland attractions. It's directly south of Main St for a linear view. You can even see Spider-Man swing into the air, and you can see him better with a 600mm lens. 🤪 You also can't beat a full sized Starbucks in the lobby either. Checking in... The Viv Hotel was the perfect home away from home for our Disneyland trip. @thevivhotel is a designated Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotel. The Viv Hotel is a Tribute Portfolio Hotel by Marriot. I personally love this property because it appeals to modern travelers who appreciate a lifestyle experience when they are away from home, and yes, this includes families. We like luxury too!!! ✨️ We had the pleasure of staying in the Premium 1 King Bedroom Suite. It was the perfect size for our family. Nice and clean, top of the line amenities, a comfy bed, separate living area, a huge bathroom, and plenty of room to spread out. And you get a great view of the Disneyland fireworks🎆. The kids LOVED it!! The staff were all friendly and very helpful. They made us feel very welcome. We can't wait to book our next stay.💕 📸 @whitneyneillphotography
