We're slowly moving our way through the offerings at Pixar Fest this year. We're not overly excited about most of the booth offerings but there are delicious things to be found throughout the Disneyland Resort for this fest! 😋 Here are a few we've really enjoyed so far! 💛 1️⃣Luigi & Guido Cone inspired by🚗Cars: Cheese filled tortellini with pomodoro sauce and mozzarella topped with basil panko, served in a bread cone at Cozy Cone Motel 3: Chili Cone Queso. 🧀 2️⃣Red Panda Bao: Jumbo pork and vegetable stuffed bao with 🌶️chile-garlic sauce at the 4*Town Fav*4*ites booth inspired by Turning Red. 3️⃣Ramone Nachos inspired by 🚗Cars: Tortilla chips topped with grilled chicken, queso blanco, refried beans, pico de gallo, salsa verde, cotija, serrano peppers, and radishes at Studio Catering Co. 4️⃣Chile Verde Chicken Flautas 🍗inspired by Coco: Chicken flautas topped with avocado spread, shredded lettuce, crema, queso fresco, tomatillo salsa, and pickled onions served with Spanish rice and refried beans and topped with nopales pico de gallo at Paradise Garden Grill. 5️⃣Al Pastor Tacos 🌮inspired by Coco: Pineapple achiote marinated pork with avocado spread and tomatillo salsa, served with Spanish rice and refried beans topped with queso fresco at Paradise Garden Gril. 6️⃣Nobody Like U Cooler: Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Raspberry Rose Tea, white cranberry, lime & orange juices, and cherry syrup garnished with an orange wedge gummy candy (NA) at the 4*Town Fav*4*ites booth inspired by Turning Red. 7️⃣Lychee-Pear Refresher: Lychee syrup with pear purée over ice with lychee popping spheres at Studio Catering Co.
Now that the Food and Wine 🍷Festival is winding down, we wanted to share what we picked up on our final day celebrating the festival. 😋 Everything ended up being delicious, but some of the offerings were clearly better than others! 1️⃣Grilled Top Sirloin with roasted garlic-gruyère smashed potatoes and black garlic chimichurri 2️⃣Carbonara Garlic Mac & Cheese featuring Nueske’s Peppered Bacon 3️⃣Chile Relleno Empanada with Arbol pepper salsa and Oaxaca and Cotija cheeses 4️⃣Shrimp Papas Locas: Cheddar-bacon potatoes with jalapeño cheese sauce and chipotle shrimp 5️⃣Raspberry Almond Cake: Almond cake with raspberry mousse and fresh raspberries 6️⃣Olive Oil Cake glazed with lemon curd, topped with vanilla bean Chantilly, and finished with fresh candied lemons, strawberry crunch, and lemon-lime gelée 7️⃣IMPOSSIBLE Beef Stroganoff: Egg noodles tossed in a mushroom cream sauce with IMPOSSIBLE beef and sour cream 8️⃣Tacos Gobernador: Chipotle-marinated shrimp tacos with pepper jack served with Spanish rice and refried beans 9️⃣Pistachio Cheesecake: New York-style pistachio cheesecake Our favorites BY FAR were the Grilled Top Sirloin with roasted garlic-gruyère smashed potatoes and the Carbonara Garlic Mac & Cheese! 💕
We finally tried the famous Lobster Nachos at Lamplight Lounge in Disney California Adventure! Everything was delicious and we were expecting to love the lobster nachos, but what stole the show was the Salmon Poké. It was bright, fresh, and super flavorful! The cocktails were also not to be missed if you enjoy an adult beverage. 🍹 They complimented the meal very well and were wonderfully made. We grabbed lunch from Lucky Fortune Cookery in Sanfransokyo on a recent trip to DCA✨ 1️⃣Yaki Udon with Karaage-inspired Crispy Chicken: served with mushrooms, sugar snap peas, bok choy, dark soy and hoisin sauces-$18.49 2️⃣Pot Stickers: Vegetable and chicken pot stickers-$8.49 We were a little split on the Yaki Udon! A couple of us didn't really enjoy it and felt that the ingredients blended together too much while one of us thought it was pretty good and the noodles had good texture. We all agreed that the pot stickers were under a heat lamp for too long though!
We recently stopped by Aunt Cass Café to try the delicious new desserts and grabbed lunch while we were there! 1️⃣Japanese-style Fluffy Cheesecake-$6.99 2️⃣Upside-down Pineapple Bread Pudding: Pineapple chunks, cherries, pineapple custard, caramel cream anglaise, pineapple-flavored whipped topping-$7.29 3️⃣Shrimp Katsu Sandwich: Served with garlic chips-$14.99 Everything was great, but the pineapple-upside down bread pudding knocked it out of the park! It was DELICIOUS! 10/10, would eat again. 😋

Disney has knocked it out of the park with this all new offering! It's a special Lunar New Year dish for the festival.🏮 📍At Studio Catering Co. you can grab the Char Siu-style Ribs-$8.49 These are served with roasted peanuts and scallions and are covered in a deliciously sticky, tangy sauce. The ribs themselves were so tender that they fell off the bone. We would have loved even more! 😋
✨New Milkshake✨ 📍Schmoozies! is serving a few new smoothies right now, so we headed over to grab one 😋 1️⃣Chocolate Marshmallow Cookie Shake: Chocolate, caramel, and marshmallow shake with whipped topping, caramel and chocolate sauce, and marshmallow cookie pie-$13.29 It was a good shake, but if you're not a fan of marshmallow we think this one is a pass. On the flip side, if you love marshmallow, then you'll love this! 🤍
On our last visit to DCA, we tried some of the Lunar New Year offerings at 📍Pacific Garden Grill. 1️⃣Korean-style BBQ Chicken served with steamed rice, kimchi, and pickled cucumber-$17.99 2️⃣Pork Banh Mi Sandwich: Grilled pork belly with pickled carrots and daikon, cucumber, and jalapeño with spicy mayo-$14.49 3️⃣Bulgogi Fried Rice with kimchi, egg, pickled cucumber, green onion, and sesame seeds🆕🌱-$14.49 We were a fan of everything and appreciated the portion sizes, but the Bahn Mi was our favorite! It was filled with fresh vegetables and lots of pork belly. 😋
Red Dragon Spice Traders Market has one of the best AND one of our least favorite offerings at this year's Lunar New Year Festival in DCA. 1️⃣Red Spice Fried Chicken Bites: Fried chicken chicharrones in spicy red chile sauce-$8.75 We absolutely loved this dish. The chicken was covered in a delightful sauce that had wonderful flavor and actual spice! 🌶️ Disney often markets things as spicy that don't really set our mouths ablaze (we like our spice 🔥) but this was a different story! If you're craving something with a kick, this is for you! 2️⃣Spicy Fried Rice with tofu and crispy peas🆕-$8.00 This was unfortunately our least favorite things from the Festival so far. The dish as a whole felt very one note in regards to flavor and texture. We were hoping the crispy peas would have added some much needed crunch, but there just weren't enough to help. It did have a nice tangy mild spice, but we were hoping for more!

The Asian Inspired Street Burrito 🌯 for $13.99 (MK discount available) has Korean marinated beef, kimchi fried rice with bacon, gochujang, cabbage salad with almonds and toasted ramen, all topped with gochujang aïoli. We really enjoyed this burrito, but were split on the inclusion of toasted ramen. Some of us really loved the crunch while others thought it was a little too much. Grabbed reservations on a whim for River Belle Terrace this weekend. We tried a few of their brunch items and found ourselves leaving with mixed reviews. 1️⃣ Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich: Fried cherry peppers, pickle coleslaw, and BBQ aioli with house fries-$23.00 (MK discount available) 2️⃣ Loaded House Fried with Egg: BBQ brisket, pimento cheese sauce, pickles, and pickled red onions-$18.00 (MK discount available) The sandwich was unfortunately not our favorite. It sounded great, but the chicken was super dry and the bread was regular white bread. The standout flavor was honestly thr toasted parts of the bread. We were definitely left wanting more from it. The loaded house fries were nice and flavorful, but there was so much egg on top! The egg was cooked beautifully, but it was a scramble. A delicious jammy egg on top would have been better-but that's just our preference. Even though the Festival of Holidays was happening during our first day in EPCOT, the Turkey Poutine didn't call to us as much as the Traditional Poutine did at Refreshment Port.
