This evenings Pick Walk is Cleethorpes Boating Lake and Bucks Beck / Anthony's Bank. We got all our gear on and equipment today, fully expecting a McDisaster again on the area. (Theres almost every fast food chain just opposite this area) We looked around. No litter. We kept walking, hardly any litter. We got out onto the Beck / Bank, hardly any litter... We checked the grot spots, all the hidey holes and tucked away areas that usually net us some rubbish...but nothing! 👀 Puzzled, we had only filled half a bag from such a wide area, we left for home. We were pleased with the results of what we found but who was responsible for this? 💭 We know that there are a lot of people who do good things for the area, but considering that the pond was also immaculate it seems like someone else had contributed too... 🤔 After some consideration, it turns out that the litter thief was definitely @thecanoeriver! He certainly whipped it into shape! 🛶 No wonder the area looked so good, we didn't find a single McDonald's item on the Boating Lake at all. Isn't he just great? ❤️ To all the others who fly under the radar and who help to keep it clean by picking up what they can, thank you. I hope you don't mind me expressing my gratitude for this. I'm not claiming any authority over the area or pretending like I'm in charge of litter. I genuinely do think it's brilliant that people are taking pride in their area and I want you to know how much of a difference you are all making. It's definitely getting better.
