I get along with other dogs and cats (I live with a cat and will sometimes chase the cat in “play mode” but I will also let the cat nap next to me on the couch, so we get along well). I have not been around kids to know how I would do with them though. I am house trained and crate trained and really don’t mind sleeping in my crate, but I do really love sleeping in bed next to my humans (sometimes I nose my way under the covers). I walk well on a leash and really love walking around the neighborhood. My favorite toy is any kind of ball (especially bouncy or squeaky ones)! I can play fetch with myself, tossing it up in the air then pouncing on it! When I was just a young pup, my previous owner was not kind to me and I needed medical care to survive. I am house trained and crate trained and can be left in my crate during your normal work day. I am actually very fond of my crate and when the door is left open, I wander in and out as I please. I walk very well on a harness and prefer a harness actually due to a tracheal collapse that makes me cough occasionally when I get super excited. If you have a backyard that would be excellent. I love to walk around and explore all the smells, watch the animals come into the yard and lay in the sun or have the wind in my coat. I am an outdoor and car ride enthusiast and I do enjoy cheese, jerky treats and the small greenie dental chews. I don’t really care for toys. I walk very well on a harness and prefer a harness actually due to a tracheal collapse that makes me cough occasionally when I get super excited. If you have a backyard that would be excellent. I love to walk around and explore all the smells, watch the animals come into the yard and lay in the sun or have the wind in my coat. I get along with other dogs and cats (I live with a cat and will sometimes chase the cat in “play mode” but I will also let the cat nap next to me on the couch, so we get along well). I have not been around kids to know how I would do with them though. I am house trained and crate trained and really don’t mind sleeping in my crate, but I do really love sleeping in bed next to my humans (sometimes I nose my way under the covers). I walk well on a leash and really love walking around the neighborhood. My favorite toy is any kind of ball (especially bouncy or squeaky ones)! I can play fetch with myself, tossing it up in the air then pouncing on it! When I was just a young pup, my previous owner was not kind to me and I needed medical care to survive. That chapter is now behind me, but because of that background, I do take some time to warm up to new people (especially men). Treats, patience, calm energy, and more treats are the way to my heart. Your gentle, patient approach will be rewarded with all the cuddles and tail wags when I learn to trust you. I do bark at new people because I am scared, but once they’ve paid the “treat tax”, I quiet down and will make friends. I also LOVE to eat and have learned how to sit and wait until I’m told “Ok” before I chow down. I am also crate trained and I do well on a leash too (I do pull some with excitement, but my harness helps Immensely). I love to wander around outside and play with friendly dogs, travel with my human, take naps with my human or just nap by myself on a comfy bed or sofa. My foster mom says I am soulful and happy and loving and I just want to be your best friend. I would love to be with you as much as possible. I also love a good bone, all the treats and a stuffed Kong. If you do have another pet in the house, I would need to be fed separately. This includes snacks too. I like to guard my meals. Because of my age I have some worn down teeth and I did have a growth removed, but thank goodness it wasn’t cancerous. At my last vet appointment the doctor might have detected a murmur so, everyone is keeping an eye on that. But, it doesn’t slow me down at all! I am house trained and crate trained (I have been out for a few hours at a time and do well out of my crate) and am learning to walk well on a leash. Those other dogs excite me – A LOT and I do pull. I went through a recent leg amputation and do really well on three legs! I get very excited when I see a squirrel, but I respond great when corrected on our walks. I love chasing the squirrels and laying in the grass and really spending as much time in the sunshine as I can in my fenced in back yard. I enjoy a good belly rub and cuddles on the couch with my humans. I pretty much enjoy all the attention and affection I can get. I am extremely smart and will require a home that will continue working with me as I learn new skills and work on perfecting current ones. I get along with other dogs and cats (I live with a cat and will sometimes chase the cat in “play mode” but I will also let the cat nap next to me on the couch, so we get along well). I have not been around kids to know how I would do with them though. I am house trained and crate trained and really don’t mind sleeping in my crate, but I do really love sleeping in bed next to my humans (sometimes I nose my way under the covers). I walk well on a leash and really love walking around the neighborhood. My favorite toy is any kind of ball (especially bouncy or squeaky ones)! I can play fetch with myself, tossing it up in the air then pouncing on it! When I was just a young pup, my previous owner was not kind to me and I needed medical care to survive. That chapter is now behind me, but because of that background, I do take some time to warm up to new people (especially men). Treats, patience, calm energy, and more treats are the way to my heart. I went through a recent leg amputation and do really well on three legs! I get very excited when I see a squirrel, but I respond great when corrected on our walks. I am a happy and loving guy who gets along with kids and I really don’t have much interest in cats, so a home with cats would be just fine. I am a little selective with the other dogs I meet. I prefer friendly dogs. While I am inside, I do wear a belly band. I am house trained and don’t need to be crated when you leave for your normal workday. I am also crate trained and I do well on a leash too (I do pull some with excitement, but my harness helps Immensely). I love to wander around outside and play with friendly dogs, travel with my human, take naps with my human or just nap by myself on a comfy bed or sofa. I walk very well on a harness and prefer a harness actually due to a tracheal collapse that makes me cough occasionally when I get super excited. If you have a backyard that would be excellent. I love to walk around and explore all the smells, watch the animals come into the yard and lay in the sun or have the wind in my coat. I am an outdoor and car ride enthusiast and I do enjoy cheese, jerky treats and the small greenie dental chews. I don’t really care for toys. I get along with other dogs and cats (I live with a cat and will sometimes chase the cat in “play mode” but I will also let the cat nap next to me on the couch, so we get along well). I have not been around kids to know how I would do with them though. I am house trained and crate trained and really don’t mind sleeping in my crate, but I do really love sleeping in bed next to my humans (sometimes I nose my way under the covers). I walk well on a leash and really love walking around the neighborhood. My favorite toy is any kind of ball (especially bouncy or squeaky ones)! I can play fetch with myself, tossing it up in the air then pouncing on it! When I was just a young pup, my previous owner was not kind to me and I needed medical care to survive. That chapter is now behind me, but because of that background, I do take some time to warm up to new people (especially men). Treats, patience, calm energy, and more treats are the way to my heart. I am a happy and loving guy who gets along with kids and I really don’t have much interest in cats, so a home with cats would be just fine. I am a little selective with the other dogs I meet. I prefer friendly dogs. While I am inside, I do wear a belly band. I am house trained and don’t need to be crated when you leave for your normal workday. I am also crate trained and I do well on a leash too (I do pull some with excitement, but my harness helps Immensely). I love to wander around outside and play with friendly dogs, travel with my human, take naps with my human or just nap by myself on a comfy bed or sofa. My foster mom says I am soulful and happy and loving and I just want to be your best friend. I would love to be with you as much as possible. I also love a good bone, all the treats and a stuffed Kong. If you do have another pet in the house, I would need to be fed separately. This includes snacks too. I like to guard my meals. I am great on leash for walks with my foster mom, but since I am extra curious about other dogs I might lunge at them when on my walks, so we are working on this as well as my meeting and understanding what it means to be around dogs. I absolutely love my walks and runs and love to sniff all the things. I am an observant guy and love to check out everything around me. I like to play fetch as long as you have a second ball handy. I don’t always like to bring it back. I like to curl up and take naps with you and can entertain myself with my toys if you can’t give me attention sometimes.
