Level 3 teaching qualification passed! It took me 9 months to pass this qualification. I did not realise how much doing this qualification will actually help me with my teaching permanent makeup! I have learned how to teach the way so every student will enjoy the learning process and will get the most out of it! Now I know why, back at school or university, I was bored to death on some lessons, and I enjoyed otherw so much! It was all due to how the teacher was presenting the material and interacting with the students. Although the treatment will be performed by a student, I will be constantly supervising and assisting throughout the treatment. A beautiful location and really lovely meal. I will say the staff looked slightly confused when we asked for more Yorkies and Roast Potatoes… and it took a while to get more. It was very business in their defence! When they did come out there was only enough for two people so then we had to ask for more. Today, I’d love to share the journey that led me to become a Permanent Makeup Artist! It began during maternity leave, searching for a self-employed opportunity to balance work and family life. Now, I not only love what I do, but I adore the flexibility of being my own boss: I’m able to sync my work hours with my daughter's school schedule, giving me the precious gift of family time. No holiday camp stress – I can take time off to spend precious moments with my family and make memories! 👨👩👧 Before getting trained in permanent makeup, I was working at a family restaurant and finishing my Bachelors degree in Psychology 👩🎓 I got my initial training in 2019, just before the pandemic. The pandemic posed its challenges, with months of lockdown disrupting my career kick-off. But I used that time wisely, levelling up my skills through countless online training and practicing on fake skin. Once I was able to start working, I was able to produce high-quality permanent makeup from my very first client, and my worst fears of messing up somebody’s face never became a reality 😅 My first-ever client was a very good friend of mine @hairbyegita who believed in me more than I did. I didn't want her to be my first client as I was so scared to mess her face up being a beginner. But she insisted 🤗 She had all three treatment areas done: lips, brows, eyeliner. Fortunately, all the hard work with training and practising paid off. Three years down the line, both her and I are still happy with her results. Did I envision this path a decade ago? Not in my wildest dreams! Yet, here I am, cherishing a profession that brought me immense joy. If you told me this years ago, I'd have laughed – but now, it's my reality 💝 Do I have any regrets for not pursuing a career in psychology? Not a chance!
