“CRACK was heavy with those BLOCK BUSTAS! 90’s late 80’s” brookstaks wrote. Every #fatjoe_therapy_session post is me trying to get anyone, anyone Fat Joe or anyone to admit that those CRACK blockbusters were monumental. Because of the amount of denial that #fatjoe graffiti was notable & monumental i did a deep dive as to why tf it impacted me & well… for the graffiti designers out there IMPACT the font. There were other “C” writers active in the BX at the time, notably #chino & #cope2 but they & everyone else was doing #bubblethrows while what Fat Joe did is bring the Manhattan #costrevs style to the Bronx. No one else was doing blockbusters like that in the BX, definitely not w/ that style, in other words it was like a toy that as he just said was w/ kings. Everything about where those CRACK blockbusters were seemed to not make sense, they were pro spots & this guy that wasn’t really up anywhere else was killing them. I still remember the first time U saw that “C” & was like wtf is that. Btw no an internet search hadn’t resulted in many pictures of Fat Joe graff &/or similar to this live stream after the piece was started. I wanted to see him write that “C” or someone like brookstaks to comment what they did to confirm I’m not somehow the only person that saw a CRACK blockbuster before Fat Joe’s Flow Joe came out and remembers it to this day. I swear yo. The amount of time & effort just to somewhat confirm that someone, anyone saw a CRACK blockbuster & yeah not that Fat Joe kinged the BX or anything like that, but he did change BX graffiti notably as if he had. And cool that it was tied to the Half Time store but not really, for a long time lots of people outside of graff didn’t know Crack was Fat Joe. It was all mad secretive, just to get someone to tell me what TS stood for took several askings over months & then for whatever reason told me what apparently no one else had ever heard: The Suicidals. Anywayz it ain’t over #fatjoe_therapy_session & if anything the fact that its not that no one knows what I know its that people have actively tried to deny something as silly & weird to deny as “CRACK was heavy with those BLOCK BUSTAS! 90’s late 80’s” .
