Fire Friday 🔥 I’ve been so busy for the last few months that I’ve barely had time to make posts and reels, but I definitely have more things I want to share about fire ecology for future Fire Friday videos! 🔥 This prescribed burn was at Blue Spring State Park, in a scrub habitat that had gotten overgrown. It was roller-chopped a few months back, and I had hoped that meant a burn was coming soon. 🔥 Burning this habitat will keep some plants from getting too big, and help some other plants grow (many need the extreme heat from fire in order to sprout.)
