After the foundation, we proceed to the skirts or sorounding structure. This determines the colour and height and form of the drum booth. It contains the acoustic treatment and holds the acoustic clouds in place, those contain the ambient lights and the routing of some of the audio cables. For this project, the drum booth was to be situated at the corner of the room so we had 2 sorounding walls and a 90° corner meaning we had to install acoustic treatment on the walls and in the skirts and basstraps in the corner.
