We had a wonderful creative retreat a few weekends ago with Aristotle Jones and our Appalachian Soul Band in Bryson City, NC. Many thanks to Gina's Great Getaways for the cabins. Every member of the core band group (the HornDawgs couldn't make it) brought a new tune that we worked on, with the exception of Aristotle, who had several! We can't wait for you to hear what we've been up to, but ya gotta be patient! We also learned that Dave (birria tacos) and Chris (steak) are excellent cooks, it's very easy to stay up until 6:30am, we can all write songs that the band loves, sometimes the weather sneaks up on ya (snow), and that band workshops are important, interesting, and part of the masterplan! We had a wonderful creative retreat last weekend with Aristotle Jones and our Appalachian Soul Band in Bryson City, NC. Many thanks to Gina's Great Getaways for the cabins. Every member of the core band group (the HornDawgs couldn't make it) brought a new tune that we worked on, with the exception of Aristotle, who had several! We can't wait for you to hear what we've been up to, but ya gotta be patient! We also learned that Dave (birria tacos) and Chris (steak) are excellent cooks, it's very easy to stay up until 6:30am, we can all write songs that the band loves, sometimes the weather sneaks up on ya (snow), and that band workshops are important, interesting, and part of the masterplan! We had a great time and enjoyed hearing from a Washington state audience member that we were one of the bands that she wanted to see the most and that we didn't disappoint.
