Last week at the 10th Annual Automotive Ethernet Congress, Intrepid Expert John Simon partnered up with onsemi’s Piergiorgio Beruto to host a 10BASE-T1S Ethernet Multidrop Topology workshop. 🤝 Some Key Takeaways from this and other highly attended presentations were: 🔹 There is a growing demand for networking and testing tools within this topology 🔹 The workshop attendee poll gave insight into the further expansion of Ethernet beyond Automotive into the industrial sector with 10BASE-T1M 🔹MACsec cyber security is gaining a lot of momentum in automotive Ethernet 🔹The availability of MACsec PHYs is pushing the availability of new products supporting MACsec cyber security technology this year 🔹 OEMs, as showcased by BMW, continue to push Automotive Ethernet in more areas of the vehicle E/E network 🔹 The next step for BMW in 2027-2029 is to add Automotive Ethernet into ADAS camera/sensor systems based on ASA- ML (Automotive SerDes Alliance - Motion Link) technology We want to thank everyone who attended this workshop, along with those who stopped by our booth at the congress expo.
