A team of UCLA seniors partnered with Friends of Griffith Park — LA Raptor Study to research owl habitats in Los Angeles 🦉🌳🌟 They looked at breeding patterns of 3 owl species: Great Horned Owls, Barn Owls & Western Screech Owls. By combining field surveys with habitat modeling, they identified key factors influencing owl distribution in the city. Seven UCLA environmental science seniors mapped flood risks in Tobago to improve early warning systems with the University of the West Indies 🇹🇹 ⭐️ 🌴 Using GIS technology, they identified high-risk areas and explored sustainable solutions for flood prevention.
