Today has been one month since Robby passed away. We miss him every day. We got him cremains back last week. I'm trying to decide on a photo of him to print and frame to go next to his keepsake box with his ashes and his collar. #ThrowbackThursday to a pic of him and Patrick at the RV. Please keep Robby in your thoughts. He's not having a good day. He still has diarrhea and hasn't been able to eat or hardly drink. He's incredibly dehydrated. His mouth is inflamed. It feels like it snuck up on us. We had to take him to the emergency 24-hour vet for fluids and some other treatments to get his system to calm down. They think they'll need to keep him for a few days. We've only been apart that long twice - once for hurting his leg in Tallahassee and once for his surgery to remove the lung tumor. I'm a wreck. I couldn't stop crying and loving on him. We were there almost two hours in total. We're looking at anywhere from $900-1,200 for what has to be done. @bumtek @bumtekcomputers #Robbykins #CatMama

Robby refuses to give a decent pose while we waited to see the vet. His blood work looked good and levels were lowered for his kidneys, which we wanted. He's up to 6.33 pounds, which is great since he was at 4.9 pounds a few weeks ago. We bought some more of his new renal support food. We can come off the eye drops and only start up if his eyes get gunky with yellow or green again. We're to keep doing fluids at home. It's hard to tell if he's still dehydrated since he has almost no muscle. We're to keep giving him the appetite stimulant, but see if we can wean him off his anti-nausea med and see if he doesn't need it anymore. The vet said he looks good for Robby. He always talks about how Robby is always a first for him on so much. Robby makes him work that education. lol That's my stubborn boy. #catsofinstagram #catlife #Robbykins
One of the joys of working from home is getting to take more cute pictures of my furbabies. My handsome Robby boy is feeling better after fluids, anti-nausea meds, an appetite stimulant, a new food, and lots of attention. Also, his eyes started not just watering but gunking up and he was squinting the left one. I talked to the vet and he said his immune system probably got weak with everything else and he got a double eye infection. So, I got antibiotic eye drops for him Tuesday and we've been giving them to him one in each eye twice a day. He doesn't love it, but he fights it less than everything else. And his eyes are a ton better. Robby took over Penny's bed in our room this morning. He's napping now. He usually likes to sleep under our bed, but I guess he decided he needed more comfort. Penny is asleep on Grandma's bed so it doesn't matter. The only bed no one tries to swap and share is Missy's. So, our oldest cat, Robby, refuses to use a new litter we're trying. He hasn't pooped since this morning and got annoyed because I closed the glass door to the shower so he can't pee in it anymore, which he did this morning... so he peed to the entrance of the kitchen tonight. 🙄 He's been pouting under the bed all day. He came out earlier and I immediately told him he should try the new litter. He looked at me, stopped walking, and laid down where he was. He's back under the bed now. smh He's also being stubborn about eating since he can't go to the bathroom like he wants so he's worked himself up to throw up 3 times today. *sigh* Patrick has been bad cop and put him in the box multiple times to no avail. I've been good cop and been sweet and rocked him (he's completely rotten and likes to be rocked and loved on). Neither approach has worked. The battle of wills continues.
