We went for a little hike at Grafton Notch State Park, then found an awesome roadside stand selling baked goods, so we picked up some maple cookie sandwiches and they were delicious!! Happy Monday towards another holiday!! PLEASE take a moment to read! This is where it all began in Wales, MA and when I saw this photo it reminds me of where we are now! Our current location is very similar-quaint, cozy and operates as a small cafe and bakery. We have grown considerably over the years and as we increase our customer base and new and different offerings to keep it interesting, we have to offset which is why we are currently not offering a menu on Saturday. We know it’s disappointing to most, however the kitchen is not as equipped (due to local regulations) to do breakfast so instead of trying to fit the square peg into the round hole, we need to improvise by offering some new and exciting savory baked goods. I always post about hi-fi restaurant chains but today I wanted to take the time out to mention our very own road side bakeries! Often times, we forget that these kutti bakeries were once everything for us, from buying lays packet to buying bread to buying pineapple cakes. 😄 Now that everyone is fond of trying out new things, we are forgetting to talk about the OG bakeries! When I was younger, I used to always see bakeries crowded with people buying cakes and rolls and puffs non-stop! It'd be a spectacular sight but lately, I haven't seen that happening as much! 😕 I mean the bakeries work day and night to make confectioneries for us the next day! Because every morning and I mean EVERY morning, I can remember when I walk by any of these kutti bakeries, the smell of the baking bread would just make me want to do the salsa inside! 🤤 So let us not forget them! “it’s a weird and crazy until it works!” ~ when you can’t get a spot at the farmers market, and you decide to have a roadside pop-up bakery… yeah, that’ll never work! ~ when you mention to one of your customers that maybe you could have a pop-up in their parking lot and they say yes… yaeh, that’ll never work(thanks @lcchocolates ) ~ and of course, on the very first roadside bakery pop-up, it was the hottest day of the year… and this lovely husband (pictured) was the runner between the tent and the inside fridge where we were keeping the food. Thank you lovely husband :-) @andrebeaulieustudio . well it’s all weird and crazy until it works. and it looks like we might even be invited back for another pop up this coming friday. . link in the bio to add yourself to the mailing list, so that you get a copy of the menu … and then you can reserve what you would like to pick up on friday before it is sold out. . there’s only me, there’s only one kitchen, there’s one little fridge and one little oven.
