It was a moment of pride as trained animators received Junior Youth Empowerment Program (JYEP) badges from Principal Ms. Ruchi Bhuvan Joshi during the Junior Assembly. The Principal enlightened students about the concept and importance of JYEP, urging them to actively participate.Two reflection meetings were conducted where animators discussed and collaborated on weekly plans. They then visited their respective sections to engage class 6 students in JY activities.Activities included introductions, group divisions, singing the prayer song "Kindle the Fire," and delivering the first lesson from the book "Breezes of Confirmation." JR YOUTH ICE BREAKER/ACTIVITY: this idea comes from Liz who suggested today that we have the JY choose a favorite Tv or Movie character. Then the JY wrote down a list of spiritual virtues they felt their individual characters possessed using virtue cards as inspiration. We got into a conversation about how even when it sometimes seems hard to see positive attributes in others, they are always there, though sometimes they may be masked. We discussed how we all possess these gems but until we start practicing them, they can be hard to see. The more we practice through our actions - they easier they become and the more visible. Each JY then chose one of the virtues they had listed, found the corresponding card and shared what was written on it.
