When we got the invitation for Owen's 1st birthday, I ran down the stairs and said, "I want to make him a train!" Why a train you might ask? I don't know, but I knew I wanted to give him something that he would love now and treasure later. A keepsake toy. In a world full of plastic, bells, and shiny lights, I wanted a toy that wasn't temporary and wouldn't be thrown away. A toy he could play with now and use as a decor piece later. Maybe a toy he showed his own kids one day. Either way, it's a toy that will last.
