I have recently been revisiting my childhood N64 collection and it’s made me want to collect more games that I rented or enjoyed at friends’ houses as a kid but never owned. However, the time, cost, and space of collecting more physical game cartridges just isn’t something that’s feasible in this chapter of my life. Enter the @krikzz.official EverDrive. Hey guys, just got this in the mail recently. Here is the Everdrive 64 x7 by Krikzz. This is a cartridge that allows you to load games on an SD Card and play them on your real Nintendo 64 console which is pretty cool in my opinion. Along with that is an NES Emulator that you can play NES games on it too. In this video I show off the cartridge itself, the manual, and how to set up the SD Card and such, then I test some games out. Video is on my YouTube channel, link in bio, recently uploaded last night. I got this cartridge on Stone Age Gamer's website on Black Friday (link below), but you can also buy it from the Krikzz site itself although they will be shipped from the Ukraine where he's based at. Krikzz never fails to deliver a top notch quality product in my opinion so that's why I got this one. A bit pricy, but worth it and you get what you pay for. There's a lot of different cheaper flashcarts out there but they all either work only for a bit then stop working, or they have some weird archaic limitations, but when you get a Krikzz product, you can ensure it's good. I like this mod because it has the benefit of being a universal power supply system for the console, and its less bulky and cumbersome than the stock standard power supply. This is a good way a retrogamer can support Ukraine 🇺🇦👾 . The Everdrive 64 x7 by @krikzz.official is the latest version of this flashcart with a lot of improvements over previous versions. They are having a hard time, but they have managed to keep business open and produce more cartridges. . This wonderful piece of hardware include (and please correct me if I’m wrong): - Auto detection of region: it play all regions by just selecting a rom (NTSC, PAL, JP) (before you had to turn a switch) - Faster loading time for games - Highest compatibility: it plays basically the entire library of N64 games, including N64DD, homebrews and translations - Gameshark included and automatically loading IPS patches : this is for cheats, but also to eliminate anti aliasing on games, among other options - Save directly on the micro SD card, without resetting the console (as in previous versions) - Internal FGPA emulator to play NES games (not that relevant for me since I prefer to play on original NES) - Transfer saves from Controller Pak (aka Memory card) - Real time clock, for games like Animal Forest (aka Animal Crossing, translation) (or maybe the only game that uses it) - Menu with background picture, which you can change . In conclusion a very complete product that frees your N64 to so many more options. There is nothing like playing on original hardware 👌🏼 . I must admit I had previously a flashcart from AliExpress, but is just stopped working after like 10 times I used it. A total waste of money. I’m happy paying more, to the original developer, for a good cause, and for a good product. Totally recommended 👍🏼 . Do you have any Everdrive? I have the N8 Pro and I’m saving for the FX Pak Pro for SNES next time they’re available 🤞🏼 .
