Where I wish I was vs where Iâve been The last four days have been something else. Iâve been sharing with my âclose friendsâ list on ig here as things happen. We have a going home date and I feel like itâs okay to share now. Saturday after my lash appointment I brought Edward to our local emerg for various reasons regarding his cold. A simple cold that started like any other daycare cold, runny nose, cough, and a fever. After a few hours we were transferred to Childrens Hospital emergency department via ambulance where they started treatment for a chest infection. Around midnight of Saturday/Sunday, Edward transferred to the PICU and received treatment for pneumonia. Once treatments started he started to get better. Bright and early this morning (Tuesday) the RT team and our overnight nurse removed Edwardâs CPAP and heâs been on simple nose cannulas since (and he doesnât really need them during the day, mainly for sleeping). Edward got the all clear from the PICU team and was transferred to where we will stay for one or two sleeps. Ryan and I are overwhelmed by the love and support weâve received from friends and family. So many offers of help, meals, and good wishes. I never thought I had a village until we needed it and I canât thank everyone enough for all the help, big and small.
