Over the years I’ve become disciplined as an artist. And I know many of you don’t realize I do my own photography (and emotional stunts) but I do. Style, hair, makeup all of that, and then I go home and write songs and work with people in the music industry to make better songs and turn what has been a life long endeavour into a valuable paying career. Hi, y’all! 🫶 This is Emily, creative assistant at ink & thread Studio. I met Tascha during my freshman year at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and we’ve been working together ever since. During my time at SE, I was in the Honors Program and Managing Editor for The Southeastern News where I gained experience with copywriting, design, editing, management and more. (I use all of those tools today when working with our clients!) I graduated in May 2022 with my BA in Communication and a minor in Marketing. I also run my own photography business on the side, so it always make me happy when I am able utilize my passion/skills in that context. (I do about 99% of our product photography and social media!) Unlike Tascha, I hate public speaking and prefer to work behind the scenes 🤓 My go-to cocktail order: I don’t drink very often, but I do like a good margarita or vodka cherry sour. I’m pretty basic 🤷🏼♀️ What I wanted to be when I grew up: Photographer for National Geographic 📸 My favorite type of design: I’ve been loving the retro throwbacks and resurgence of bright colors! Hey there! This is Tascha, owner and creative director at ink & thread Studio. I wear a lot of hats on a daily basis 🎩 I like to think it’s how I stay sharp and creative for our customers. When not in the studio, you might find me at our dry cleaning business (@bondlaundryco), at our restaurant + bar (@oldicehousedurant), or out showing houses. On top of owning three businesses, I am also a licensed realtor in Oklahoma. I have also been known as a college instructor, wedding and event planner, women’s advocate and community leader. I am one of those weird people who loves public speaking 🙋♀️ I’ve been in the creative industry for 23+ years as a marketing director, brand strategist, journalist, editorial designer, and heck, even as a radio personality.
