Providing Components to the Subcontractor: The purchasing organization supplies the subcontractor with the necessary components for the manufacturing process. These components are often associated with a BOM. Manufacturing at the Subcontractor’s Site: The subcontractor uses the provided components to manufacture the final product. Goods Receipt and Component Consumption: Upon completion, the subcontractor returns the finished goods. During the goods receipt process, the components are consumed from the subcontract inventory.
