Walking the vineyard at Evening Land, it’s a special moment when La Fôret comes into view. The estate shifts from classic Pacific Northwestern Pine and Doug Fir trees girding/bordering the vineyard to an actual forest filled with vines. It is enchanting, quiet, still and lusciously green. French for – what else – the Forest, La Forêt is a unique and delightful expression of Pinot Noir. Almost immediately pressed off its skins, the wine shows a light peach color indicative of its aroma profile and even texture. We suggest serving it chilled this summer for your best enjoyment.
