Lipedema Awareness Month 🤍 As a body sculpting and lymphatic drainage specialist, I wanted to share a condition you might come across when treating clients-lipedema. It is a chronic condition characterized by an abnormal accumulation of fat in the legs and, sometimes, the arms. This condition mainly affects women and is often associated with hormonal changes, such as those occurring during puberty, pregnancy, or menopause. Women with this condition may have a small waist, a flat belly, and larger, “tree trunk” shaped legs. The main signs of lipoedema include: ✨Symmetrical fat distribution. Fat deposits are typically symmetrical, affecting both legs or both arms equally. 💫Pain and sensitivity. The affected areas are often painful or sensitive to touch. 🌟Easy bruising 💫Fat that is resistant to diet exercise and beauty treatment. It’s often misdiagnosed as simple obesity or lymphedema, though it has distinct characteristics and requires different management strategies. I would like you to do further research to be able to recognise and advise your clients on what would be the best treatment option for them. In most cases, body sculpting treatments would be a waste of time and money as they would be painful and very few results would be archived. Nachbehandlung Liposuktion Nach ein bis zwei Wochen sind die Patientinnen wieder arbeitsfähig. Ja, das mag bei manchen Patientinnen richtig sein. Dass die gesamte OP aber oft ein großer Eingriff ist, bei dem die abgesaugte Fläche unter der Haut liegt und die optischen Wunden außen sehr klein aussehen, ist für manche durchaus ein größeres Problem. Denn die OP macht rein äußerlich für viele Patientinnen den Eindruck, es wäre ein „to go“ Happening. Welche Kraft der Körper zur Regeneration braucht und wie lange sowas dauern kann, wird häufig falsch eingeschätzt. Alleine die Bewegungseinschränkungen können teils groß sein und wenn man alleine lebt, muss man sich selbst versorgen können. Hier ist eine fachgerechte Nachbehandlung angezeigt. Patientinnen müssen in ihrem Alltag mit dem Umgang dieser Wundflächen geschult werden. Das bloße Tragen des Kompressionsmieders reicht hier nicht immer aus. Komplikationen sind hier klar zu vermeiden. What if I told you in this case this small seroma was caused by the left pectoral muscle (breast)!.. I explained to my client and as I released her pectoral muscle she explained she felt it draining from her lower back! It was obvious due to posture, note congested spinal nodes in first picture to clear spine in after picture, body mapping is essential to follow the system and unblock where the problem lies, fluid pools due to gravity, her lower back is the symptom not the cause. Treat the breast and shoulder then drain IMMEDIATELY. This is not body contouring this is medical science, much more than a massage routine. Understanding anatomy and body engineering is essential for results. Respecting trauma and individually body mapping fluid, this is never a therapeutic massage routine. Stop letting therapists con you with “the process myth”, healing has a process but fluid can be drained immediately, give the body credit that it will eventually in most cases drain this with compression alone, without massage as healing progresses, so if a therapist can only provide images a month later, guess what? It’s natural healing you’d probably achieve without a massage as many people do! Clients have a lymphatic to help unclog the system if it’s not draining it’s still clogged, the massage was ineffective. Results come from knowledge and experience, no amount of short courses can teach you this. By June, a 2 MLD sewage treatment plant (STP) will be operational to address the release of untreated sewage into Katraj Lake, particularly affecting the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park. Additionally, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has installed a 1,100-metre long and 900-millimetre diameter sewer line to prevent further sewage inflow into the lake. These measures were outlined in a report submitted to the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) on May 22. The National Green Tribunal (NGT) had taken suo-motu cognizance of the issue on March 22 and directed MPCB, PMC, CPCB, and the district collector to respond, leading to a field visit by MPCB on May 16, which confirmed improvements. The NGT's western bench, in its order on May 28, highlighted the absence of water hyacinth and active sewage flow into Katraj Lake during the MPCB visit. The PMC has committed to completing the STP, primarily for the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park and Wildlife Research Centre, by June, pending consent application.
